A Code Zero is a cross between a genoa and an asymmetrical spinnaker which is used for sailing in light wind. The major benefit is the ability to furl the sail, making it ideal for a solo sailor to fly a large sail and easily retrieve ( furl ) it.
The code zero can be used on most points of sail and will be particularly useful in the Sea of Cortez as winds can be very light when moving between anchorages.
