This short clip shows customers how to set up the humidity pump tube on their new machine. The humidity pump tube is not set up in advance because the silicone tubing is designed to operate with water in it. If it is set up in the factory and then left in a store for some time, the sides of the silicone tubing would eventually stick together and make the tubing unusable. The product instructions show customers how to set up their pump tubing. It is very easy and explained in the instructions and this short video may also be of help.
In all these machines the tubing is wrapped in a CLOCKWISE direction. On the Mini II, Maxi II and Maxi 24 it is wrapped round the capstan from RIGHT to LEFT clockwise. On the Ovations it is wrapped round the capstan from LEFT to RIGHT clockwise. Tubing should be replaced at least every 3 months, possibly more often if you are using your machine continuously.
Replacement of the tubing is easy. You get 3 metres of spare tubing. Make sure you cut the right length using a ruler. The Mini II, Maxi II and Maxi 24 require 70mm. The Ovation EX incubators require 110mm. Avoid using your nails to attach the tubing to the little pump connectors. If your nails make a hole in the tubing, it will allow air into the tubing and the pump won't work. When not in use, unwrap your tubing from the capstan to preserve the life of your tubing.
