Many many people own a HP laptop and are disappointed because of the exclusivity of battery limit settings for buisiness models. It is really annoying when you find that out after buying a consumer HP Laptop. The impact on the environment is huge when so many people around the world are forced to use the battery all the time and don´t have the ability to limit the charge. Gaming laptop as ( Pavilion and Omen ) should have it, too. as if our machine is plugged into the Charger all the day. I have Asus Tuf laptop (gaming laptop) and it has this feature and all lenovo laptops that I've owned ( from lower end to student classes ) had this features. I've owned Samsung Laptop from 2011 and Samsung Ative Pro in 2013 and both have this option.. I've owned 3 HP pavilions. 2 was ( the DV 6735 in 2008, AMD phenom Laptop in 2012) and all of them are scraped and shelved due to battery. Now I'm using Pavilion gaming 2020, I guess I well sell it once I buy a new gaming laptop from other brand.

@@HPSupport The issue doesn't when the adapter gets hot.. the video that provided is appreciated but, this is for extend working time on battery.. the feature of keep battery charged maximum 80% for extend the battery age. as My experience with different brands of laptops (over 10 models), the laptop without battery age extender ( or Battery Health Management in HP) their battery lasts around 3-4 years and their battery gets overheating or working within minutes before sudden drain. My samsung ative pro is now 8 years old and the battery is still working as a new battery without over bend or overheating - thanks to this feature- . So, if there is a bios update for (HP Battery Health Management) for Pavilion series that would race the new competitors.

I have Maximize battery health set in the BIOS but the system tray indicator shows 100%. As I understand it, the battery should be charged to 80%. @@arkadio5576 I've discovered the same nonsense due to wear of my battery as it shows 30% (on battery health) but I know for sure it's a brand new battery, if you choose to to maximize battery duration, then the wear level goes down to 12% haha. so stupid. it simple words bios limits charge level up to 80% but windows takes it as 100% and clocks as a battery wear.

@@HPSupport Thank you for quick and "to the point" reply! I understand that with latest BIOS firmware has changed now and even when "Maximize my battery" is running well and charging only to 80per, system tray shows 100per... What (probably) solves my problem. I also understand that for some users it might be easier like this. But for me personally (and I believe for many others) it is just painful and confusing, no possibility of visual control. It would be easier for me to believe, that battery is taken care of, if I could actually see it. Another thing - in Battery Charge Manager I can see this setting and it clearly says that my battery would charge only 80per. But again in system tray its 100per. If it has to be this way, there could be at least note in Battery Charge Manager: "Hey, its showing 100percent, but its actually 80per", or?
