Nice video! Glad to see you enjoying the Voyager, I remember how excited you were about it when it came out, thinking you should've bought it instead of the Kinesis. :D One addition to your toolset which I'd recommend is Maccy, a clipboard manager. It is free, supports images, formatted text, can be configured with a huge history and has a pretty snappy search as well as keyboard shortcuts. I don't know how I'd work without multiple clipboard entries as I often need to copy multiple stuff and paste it back and forth. Try it out and let me know if you like it and if it improves your workflow.

I really enjoyed this video. I learned a few new tricks like sym links, hiding the menu bar (great for ADHD), and fzf. Your setup and keyboard are very similar to mine. I feel like I'm on the right track as a junior dev. Thank you 🙏

I stumbled across this video. Good tips and tricks (though most are a matter of taste). Please forgive some constructive criticism: This audio is pretty rough to listen to. You seem to have invested in an external mic but you’ve got a distracting amount of reverb. (Once you notice it, it’s extremely annoying.) Perhaps dynamic mic with cardioid pickup pattern might be better (if you don’t already). Or if you’ve got a lot of hard/flat surfaces in your recording space, try curtains/blankets. Or if you can’t get a good mic and/or improve your recording environment, then at least run your audio through some de-reverb software; that’s not ideal, but better than what we’ve got here.

Hey, thanks a lot for this comment. I know, I'm not happy with how it sounds. I'm using Rode Podmic, I installed some sound panels on the wall, have some curtains, but still it doesn't sound right. Problem is my knowledge is pretty limited here and actually I'm planning to look for some sound technician to help out here. Hope it will be better. Honestly, because of you I now at least know the name of the problem that I have - reverb :) Thanks!

Nice setup man! Alfred, rectangle…? Why not Raycast?

Thanks man! This is like old setup of mine that I'm used to it and not thinking much about it. I tried raycast briefly while ago but felt that it is not adding much to my workflow. But I see people mentioning it more and more and it is on my todo list to play with it a bit more this time.

I had an M1 Max with 32GB of RAM and 1TB of storage... and I was thinking... more RAM would be nice... so I got an M3 Max with 64GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. I wouldn't have upgraded if I would have just bought 64GB of RAM on the M1. However, now I am doing some more interesting things... and I need some more storage, too. So... whenever the next gen comes out, it looks like I am upgrading again. Hopefully the CPU is a nice step improvement.

neovim has broken a few times on me too, but I've learnt to use less plugins. nvim-tree & mason is not needed. nvim-treesitter is also prone to breakage, but you can lock your plugin versions by commits, and there's no need to update them unless go.nvim causes them to bug out.

Yes, yes, I know there is a way to prevent all of that, but honestly, unless you really enjoy doing that, troubleshooting and fixing lua, then that is totally cool, but me personally I don't like. I rather debug and fix my Go programs then one Lua program :) In fact, one of the next video is about why as a Vim user I now use and really like VSCode. If you haven't maybe consider subscribing so you don't miss it :D

Just do not use go.nvim plugins and other low level of reliability plugins. Treesitter is a masterpiece. Have not heard that it can be broken at any time. I completely disagree of using VS Code is the less stress experience. I even do not know how to live without telescope, autocommands, bunch of key bindings that completely decrease the time of my experience as a Golang dev.

hey, appreciate the video, could you briefly tell me how you achieved the tabbed vscode instance behind fuzzy find on your projects folder? thanks!
@inelpandzic

Hey, under `settings->Desktop and Dock` there is a Windows section, I set "Prefer tabs when opening documents" option to "In full screen". Now when you open some app and set it to full screen, then you open another instance of the app, it should be in that tabbed mod I showed. And project fuzzy find is VScode command "File: Open Recent...", I just hooked it to a shortcut.
