I am one of those who has had a lengthy single season. Almost all my friends are married with kids, and I have been present at each of those seasons in their lives. I must say, for me what has kept me is being planted in a local church, and serving there constantly. Yes now and again you get into your feelings about when will it be your turn, it's not a perfect journey. But one day, I bumped into this scripture that soothed my heart like nothing could, 1 Corinthians 7:32-34 I want you to be free from anxieties. The unmarried man is anxious about the things of the Lord, how to please the Lord. But the married man is anxious about worldly things, how to please his wife, and his interests are divided. My biggest struggle with friends who got married was that they had other priorities and rightfully so, so that change in dynamic is tricky therefore without noticing, it is serving God that made things easier for me, and that's still the case even now and I love it. Still believing for marriage and I know it's coming. Lovely chat ladies😍

Wooow that's profound ,,,and I think being single gives you time to self introspect and spiritually meditate, build a solid relationship with God and that itself it's a journey on it's own,,,yes we question and wonder when is our turn but rushing the process will only lead into failure and unhappiness,,,let it flow organically,,His time will be beneficial for us

Woooow very true. Totally I’m at this point in my life where almost all my friends are married and God reminded me that Daughter serve, remember your first deeds, do not stop to appear. And very true, the local church, my pastors and youth ministries and cells have kept me coz 2-3 times when you are low, it has made realised how quickly one can fall away It is an honour

I can relate on that jealousy part so much! My best friend recently got married. I remember the day before I had some last minute tasks to do for the wedding day: I was so angry. Luckily I caught myself because I knew that wasn't the energy I'd want on the day. Lol, I remember driving and just praying that God will take away that feeling and replace it with the actual joy I have because my best friend was getting married! And it was such an exciting time. Next morning when I drove to the venue, I was so joyous. I didn't have any of those other feelings. I think its so important to acknowledge your feelings and pray through it and give God the opportunity to intervene

I also used to say I don’t want abo brother in Church 😅because of the ones I’ve seen; how they have treated women and I was like I don’t want this for myself. I judged the good men in Christ because of the not so good ones I know. Kodwa manje I can’t compromise and I want a man who will be equally yoked nami (a Christian, a man who has a relationship with God, prayerful, kind, etc.) I have also realised that we can be Christians but not have same values, as you mentioned there are new age Christians and I am not into that mina.

Amazing topic. I also said the “i love you “first 🤭 I never had a desire for marriage but God used a lot of things to prepare me🥲 But one important message he said so clearly after he had made it clear that he has that blessing for me was “He who finds a wife finds a good thing” i needed to be a wife first before he present me to my physical husband. A wife to Christ, fully submitting. There after(months later) came the the list, the list was not my desires because first I submitted to Christ and Christ showed me what a husband i needed. The list was for a testimony hence before even writing it, i had to pray and align everything i was supposed to write with what God had for me. One cant invite God to bless their desires, the desires need to come from God hence… Seek God first and all his righteousness and EVERYTHING SHALL BE ADDED. N.B not to say that desiring is wrong 🙈 because God gives us the desires of our hearts. But to say, the source of the desires should be God since our focus is in Him. It shouldn’t be our flesh. But also it’s important to pray that God prepares you for the husband he has for you because sometimes its us who delay our blessings by not being ready for them. I enjoyed your conversation ladies❤️ im new here from Sims Rights channel ❤️
