Elevated thunderstorms formed over southern Wisconsin during the early afternoon on April 19th, 2023, and quickly became severe as they moved slowly eastward towards Lake Michigan.
Storms brought with them large hail (up to 2 inches in diameter reported in Jackson) and trained over the same areas for several hours, which lead to flash flooding. As much as 6 inches of rain fell, and up to 2-3 inches of accumulating hail was noted in spots. Temperatures were in the 30s for the duration of the event.
This was definitely one of the more interesting weather events I've documented to date. Thanks for watching!
