Four Guest Loco's down at the Severn Valley's Autumn Steam Gala! They were LNER B1, No.61306 "Mayflower". USATC 'S160', No.2253 "Omaha". Bagnall 0-6-0ST, No.401 "Vulcan" and LMS Ivatt '2MT' Tank, No.41312!
Mayflower & Omaha were running up and down from Bridgnorth to Kidderminster. 41312 was running a shuttle between Highley to Bridgnorth and Vulcan did a morning Goods train and did a shuttle! I try to travel behind Vulcan but due to trains running late. I didn't had time to ride behind her!
This Gala marked the last chance for some time to travel behind the SVR's workhorse! The Ivatt '4MT' 2-6-0, No.43106 boiler certificate will be expired at the end of 2023!
This Gala also marked the reopening of Eardington Station! After 40 Years of no passengers trains stopping there! The Station had it's last SVR's Passengers back in 1982! Since then , it has only just been a spot for photographers who would drive to the site to take photos or video of the train rushing through non-stop! With it been reopen, this would give more Severn Valley Passengers the opportunity for photos or video at Eardington Station! This reopening was the highlight of the Gala for me as it was my first time being at Eardington and taking fantastic video of Hagley Hall & Omaha!
