As always I LOVE your pacing. You get straight to the point with no endless chit chat. You show everything very clearly but you keep it moving and you don't give long, tedious explanations (We can always pause or rewind when necessary.) Great video.

I love this bag. All the pockets I need. I like the metal zippers. I changed the 2 top zipper panels from 3" to 5" for a wider opening. I used Guatemalan Ikat Fabric that I purchased on Etsy. I have been making your beautiful bags for more than two years now. Your excellent video tutorials are a treasure, thank you so much for your time and effort.

Notes : at about 6:43, I wrote the panel 11 (d-ring tab holder) measurements 5" x1", please disregard, it should be 5" x 2", I have corrected the measurements in the pattern as well. at 13:11, draw the zipper template about 1 1/2" (4cm) down fro the bottom. Download the PDF pattern here : bit.ly/3GnWvOb Happy Sewing ♥

Hi I’m in the middle of making this beautiful bag and I have a question re panel 11 ( d rings tab holder). The instructions say to cut a 5x1 inch and fold the long side to the center. When I do this, the holder is smaller than what is shown in the video.
@YoanSewingStudio
Жыл бұрын
Hi, the measurements should be 5" x 2" , so they should measure 5" x 1" after the folding (i have corrected in the cutting instructions), sorry for the mistake and thanks for bringing this to my attention ❤️

@@YoanSewingStudio I have been eying this pattern since you first posted it, Yoan. I am elderly, and I have to carry all kinds of things for both my and myself when we go anywhere! If I increased the measurements by 4 inches (width and length) for the exterior and interior of the bag, would I also increase the bottom panel by 4 inches? I know this is a dumb question. You can tell that I’m not a very experienced sewist! I know that I would also have to increase the drawstring casings to accommodate the increased width, but I can figure that one out, thanks to your earlier tutorials on drawstring bag making. I assume that I have at least 1/2 on each side of bag with the finished casing?? Thanks for your help, Yoan. Pat Berne

Hi Yoan, I'm sure you have this information somewhere but I just can't find it. How far down from the top of the interior zipper pocket panel should I be drawing the template for the zipper? It looks like 2" but I've gone through the pdf pattern, the video, and the video tutorial you linked (which says 4", I think that's too much). Can you please help? I fell in love with this pattern the first time I watched the video and I'm so excited to be making it for myself now!

about 1 1/2" down for the top, i missed drawing the arrow on the screen (sorry for the confusion).

Thank you so much, Yoan! What kind of interfacing do you use when you recommend FWI? I use SF101 but I feel like I need something with a little bit more structure.
@YoanSewingStudio
Жыл бұрын
yes, it's the sf101, you can try experimenting with heavier interfacing (do a bit of testing before hand, see how you like it).
