Love this tutorial. I am a new sewer and am making this today! I love my Kam snaps, too. Bought and used some for a few other projects over the last month or so. Thank you so much for sharing. Editing this hours later to say that I made four of these today in 2 hours! I am beyond thrilled. I kept them all as rectangles because I forgot to cut the curved end I wanted. So instead of one snap, I put two on each closure. My grandgirls will love them and there will be one left over for me for store cards.

Wonderful! I do love how easy the Kam snaps are and of course that snapping sound they make. 😉. I have several easy sewing tutorials for bags and other things if you want a bit more practice. Thanks! 🦩

I added the poppers before sewing, but I put them in higher than you did so that there is room to sew around them. It works great. I forget to do it sometimes & it's and have to put them in afterwards. I love your video! Thanks!

I’m glad you enjoyed It. The Kam snaps are game changers. So much easier than the old Walmart version I have and the end result is nicer. Happy snapping 😉

Love your videos....I'm a total beginner and used this idea for a pouch to hold my mums phn in her bag....I then added a detachable snap strap and added a snap to bag so it could hang inside bag and added ring for her keys so that no matter what is in bag she wont lose phn or keys

Thank you Jo. I’m glad you chose my channel too 😁 That’s a very smart idea for storing and carrying masks. Much better than my sandwich baggie. When you wash your mask you can just toss in the pouch too.

Wonderful Cindy! You can blame me for your new addiction 😂. I love the plastic snaps. So much easier and nicer than the old metal ones. I use snaps on my project bags. So much easier than zippers and I don’t have to worry about my yarn getting caught in a zipper. Not to add to your addiction but the snaps also come in different shapes too 😉. I’ve seen stars and hearts.

I've made a few of these - I love my Kam tool and have about 20 different colour snaps to choose from. I didn't notice your ironing mistake and of course had to go back and check - so easy to do, I know :) I made another scissor pouch today for a friend and my mistake was to sew batting (not thick) to all 4 pieces of fabric - it was TOO much, but I managed to (eventually) turn it inside out, in the end! We learn from our mistakes, right? haha - enjoy your weekend :)

Thanks Lesley! I know most of my mistakes come from me moving too fast and not paying attention. At least my sewing mistakes tend to be easy to fix. Sometimes I even come up with a new design from my mistakes. That does sound like a bit too much batting lol. I'm glad it worked out in the end.

Hi Karen! The snaps I use are Kam snaps and I put a link in the description box under the video. If you search “Kam snaps” on amazon several options will pop up. There are reasonably priced kits available so can buy everything you need at once. Then later you can buy whatever snaps you need.
