It was very useful. Using the same idea of your notches to position pieces of fabric before sewing, I made a doorstop so thanks again!@@s79design

Such a professional seamstress! I learned to sew in 8th grade. Haven’t sewn in years but have a need for draft excluders. Glad I found your video. Brought back memories when I sewed a lot!

Could we add anything inside to weigh it down to help keep it in place?

Hi Kyle, that’s a great idea, yes you could make a rectangle pocket (cut two pieces a couple of inches shorter than the draught excluder, and make them about 3-4” wide, with right sides together, sew the long edges together and one short end, turn to the right way out, fill this with something weighty, sand would be a good choice, close up the open end and after filling the top of your draught excluder with filler, put inside your draught excluder so it sits at the bottom near the opening. Hope this works out for you 😊

It’s a kind of long pillow that you put at the bottom of doors to keep out any cold wind!

thanks! I have a problem like that in my kitchen door, but I think I would have to make the cover in some kind of plastic stuff to make it easy to clean afterwards, or you simply get rid of it after the winter is gone?

@@sofiaaldunate4365 so you could make it from a water proof fabric, that you could wipe clean, but if you have a solid floor like tiles it may slide around more than fabric. You could also make an inner bag to hold the stuffing and put a zip in the outer layer, this way you could remove the inner lining to wash. I’m going to do a cushion video, and will show how to put zips in, the technique will apply to this too ☺️, let me know if you’d be interested in a how to video for this 😊

@@s79design Sure I am interested in the video, I sew quite a bit but zippers.... well you know.... And yes I have a tile floor in the kitchen, but I am still thinking in the plastic alternative. I could use plastic from the dog food I keep to put sometines the garbish to be taken away (so I save some money) wich is waterproof and maybe I coul still make the pockets to put some small stones to make it heavy. I live in the fields, so I can get small stones somewhere nearby.

@@sofiaaldunate4365 that sounds like a fantastic idea, the dog food bags are usually very strong! Let me know how you get on! I love to hear how my followers adapt patterns and tutorials to work for them! X
