What a brilliant hack! So lovely! And that was the best demonstration of the turning tool I've ever seen! I'm totally sold on it after watching you use! That was literally under a minute to turn that long, skinny tie! Thank you for sharing mistakes, or learning experiences! It helps me to not speak negatively to myself when things don't go right for me.

I love the top and the dress hack sooo much! You really inspired my to give the pattern a go! And I love how you use different patterns to "mix and match". I think this is the essential of being able to sew, just to grab the parts and pieces we love and create something individual for ourselves!! Keep on creating and inspiring us, please 😊 thank you so much for your videos!! xx

I see a lot of youtube sew vloggers add labels to their makes and have wondered if the labels are softer than the labels in ready made garments. I always cut the labels out because they irritate my skin.
@VoiceofaCreative
4 жыл бұрын
I think they are quite similar to ready to wear labels, but you can play about with placement in a less irritating spot maybe. I don’t find that labels irritate me but I only add them in woven makes normally. Some people add labels on the outside of the garment.

Hi Kealy. I love your hack! Just a couple of questions! Did you put the pockets in the Donovan skirt that you attached to the Gilbert top? I have made both patterns but the skirt came out really big. Did you make the same size skirt and top just sewing some elastic at the back and using the waist ties? Your dress looks really great!
@VoiceofaCreative
4 жыл бұрын
Helen Machell I didn’t put the pocket in I just used the back skirt pattern piece to cut the the front and back skirt for the dress, but I think you could totally add the pockets. Yes the skirt and top I made were both size 12, they matched together perfectly. I added elastic at the back to bring it in a little, but it looked okay without it. It was just personal preference. Then added waist ties .
