The pattern fits very well just the way it is, but since my husband is short if I make the “tight fitting leg” version I may take in the seat and hips a little bit just to keep the look consistent, as the proportions of the pant leg place the curve for the hip a little lower than looks perfectly tailored on him. Maybe keep in mind that these do fit a little loose unless you’re tall or curvy to fill them out, but based on images I’ve seen I think that is somewhat appropriate for certain period impressions and even if not my husband finds them very comfortable that way. 😂
