Great video. It's really hard to find actual journalism in the tech websites, since it's usually just rumor mills and latest gadget reviews, but this is refreshing and informative. Keep doing these!

Technology does not need porn, pornography needs tech. I'm seriously baffled that you guys would publish this shit.

Are you sure? The most popular searches on Google are related to pornography, VR itself is mostly being tested for porn on Japan, and there is a good reason why PornHub is being so succesful with their tech venturing. Porn is an escapist convenience, and that is what drives a lot of technology forward.

"The most popular searches on Google are related to pornography" Analytical sites like Google Trends say otherwise. I would say porn might have motivate the creation of SOMEthings but to say all of technology is created as a result of porn is absolutely ridiculous
@rudolphbloom

That's because Google Trends only registers searches on Google itself, not Bing, Yahoo, Ask or DuckDuckGo. To be fair, Trends is not good at all for reliable search engine calculation. You actually need to collect data from different sources and try to guess an approximation. Either way, porn-related stuff generally rank reliably for a good amount of time. That's because you don't search for "porn" only. You usually search for "xvideos", "latina", "bbc", "shotacon" or "rule34". There are so many terms that it would also be hard to measure the magnitude of porn itself. Hint: it's pretty big on the internet.

Also, they didn't say porn motivated all of the technology; just that technology relies on porn, which is, in some ways, true. A lot of innovation and engagement comes from porn-driven stuff. Snapchat was made for what? What about Tinder? How about Google or Tor? A lot of the software industry started as something that made kinky stuff easier to trade.

Dude are you serious? Tor, Google, Tinder, and Snapchat were NOT made for or because of porn. You need to rethink what you just said.

I didn't watch this video but I don't see what the big deal is. I went to AVN last year on assignment for a magazine article in Las Vegas and VR was the next step in adult entertainment. There were a lot of booths that featured explicit videos with the use of the Oculus rift and other VR technology. That's pretty much where the adult entertainment market is going towards now.
