This place isn’t always this bad. A tide chart would have been perfect for this. Every 4 hours or it changes. Could have just waited.

trying to make sense of it, first I thought they were trying to maintain a course by facing back and powering!

Race Point is no place for a sailboat heading north on the flood. I guess you know now that one should travel north on an ebb in this stretch of Discovery Passage.

Wow! Seymour Narrows has quite a history. Many wrecked boats, especially before they took out the twin peaks that used to lie just under the water, in what was then the worlds largest non-nuclear explosion. This traveller seems to have lost his current tables?

Been thru the narrows many times, people don't realize the power the tides have. This clown is lucky, he's probly still boating, a lot of boats are trashed in bad decisions about the narrows. 2 years ago a jet pilot in a Boston whaler was fuckin around and it cost him his life. I watched him on the dock at Browns bay, left on a ventilator, died the next day.

Good video if the videographer was better at doing it. With that said, somebody did not refer to the tides and currents to verify a good time to navigate it.

USA stern flag . Didn’t do his research re passage planning. I mean the flood direction and speed is plainly on the chart.
