Caught the replay guys and thanks for the info and entertainment. I would like to correct poppy on his information as it pertains to SRO Logistics 80/20. Trailer cost is $150 week on the 80%. That would equal a 3% cost if you averaged $5000 gross per week. $5000 gross per week would be $260,000 annually and I’d probably work about 40 weeks including 34 hour resets for that. The other 12 weeks worth of time would be at home. SRO covers all trailer maintenance unless it is clearly driver neglect or poor driving like bending a rim on a curb or something like that. You also have the option to do 75/25 and have no trailer rent but the break even on that is $16,400 gross revenue on 100% of your negotiated rates per month. Unless you suck or only work 2 weeks per month doubt you would not gross $16,400. SRO also covers 4 DOT inspections per year on the trailer and because he requires them on the tractor quarterly as well he pays for 3 of the 4 quarterly DOT inspections on the tractor. My true deductions on my gross is 20% of my negotiated rate and $150 per week for trailer rental….that is it no hidden costs. Tags are an annual and you can pay him to run his tags or get your own. Either way for me it’s $1500 per year and of course your 2290 of $550 annual. You will not get any closer to having your own authority without having it than you can here. My insurance is also $285 per month so that is very reasonable insuring $75,000 with gap coverage and business interruption coverage. Again, enjoy the videos but wanted to make sure the information concerning SRO was correct.

You're thought process is completely incorrect on how loads are dispensed out and how the big companies broker their freight.

@iamtheflyrabbit jb hunt Logistics doesn't get a load from xyz for 2k, then give it to their trucking side for 1,500. The trucking side gets the full 2k. Then walmart doesn't call and say I'll give you 20 loads this week for x per mile. Every year, they send out an RFP to everyone they work with. The company with the best rate and reputation with them will win that lane. Some weeks, they might have 5 loads and some weeks they might have 50. When there are too many loads for the trucks available then JB Logistics will broker out the leftover loads. I've had a trucking and a brokerage mc number. Sorry it's late. I can call and explain it better if you ever cared to chat in more detail about it.
