We disassembled NIO ET7 and IM L7 in this episode after disclosing frequent malfunctioning in the last one. We discovered the failed fixing bushing welding of the rear seat nut in NIO ET7, so we had to saw the seat off. And IM L7 ’s crooked screw hole in the front subframe further proves that the assembling technique needs improvement in both cars. Besides, NIO ET7 is partly made of aluminum alloy, while the cheaper IM L7 is an all-steel car. Is the latter producer trying to cut the cost in this way? Moreover, NIO ET7 equips with PMSM and ACIM at the car front and the back respectively, and IM L7 is powered only by PMSM. Which is better? Should we blame IM L7’s back engine for the accident?
