Dear Leaflute thank you for this posting which is most useful for anyone wanting to learn this technique ....in my experience using an appropriate man made leaf at the beginning makes the learning process faster and less frustrating for the simple reason that having the wrong tool for any job especially for a beginner significantly reduces the chance of success Dr Bruce Copley, Cape Town, South Africa

Your video is very cool, here in Brazil, in the 1990s, many children were playing buzzing plastic sheets chewing gum (myself included), but we never imagined it would be possible to achieve results so interesting, also because talves largely the children were repressed for so doing, had at the time as a form of provocation. Well, I liked the video, hit the player.

Mabye can you try to play that one song from that one Pokemon Oracion leaf whistle (episode name: rise of darkri) please thanks :3
That is amazing!!! You get a beautiful tone, and with your changes to the leaf made it sound more like a trumpet. O Sole Mio is fantastic! You are quite an expert. You have over a two octave range? When you played "Surrender" , it sounded a lot like my Handwhistling! Your control and intonation are amazingly right on!

Mr. Leaflute, thank you for sharing this knowledge with us, I hope to one day become as good as you! :D Inspiring and soothing... The essence of Earth itself! Also... I wonder... I know the leaves you picked are flexible but... Looking at their light reflection, I believe they have some consistency. I began practicing just today and picked a really thin leave but VERY flexible, almost like wet paper (picked it from bougainvillea, I can bend it into many sections!). Can this be a problem? Thanks!

Can you please post a tutorial on youtube on how to get a better tone out of the leaf/plastic. I know how to make a sound and play scales but people find my sound annoying whereas I know the leaf's potential because I hear your beautifully.. Can you just post like a tutorial on the scales, or routines you do to practice everyday and vibrato aand other techniques?

Tanjeria: You may blow too hard. You only need create vibration from the air you blow out. All wind pipe instruments works the similar way. 1. Try all range of your air pressure, and different amount of the air. Use a note book. Every time you try, you write down what you do. 2. put the leaf on different positions of your upper lip. 3. Different area to cover your upper lip. 4. remember. Do not leak air from the bottom lip. From 1, 2, 3. You will find the way to vibrate the leaf to your upper lip. Mr. Leaflute only suggests us to use the leaf on the upper lip. Air speed is wave length multiplies the wave length. The air speed is a constant number for a fixed temperature. For example, 20 degree C is 343 meter per second. 767 mile per hour. 1235 kilometers per hour. Your only purpose is to make the leaf vibrate. Therefore, blow the air to make the leaf to vibrate first. From your own note book record. You will find the position of your leaf to your upper lip, the amount of air, the pressure of the air to make the leaf vibrate. Writing down your experiments is the key for you to succeed to play the leaflute. After you make the leaf vibrate, you figure it out to make it vibrate faster or make it vibrate slower. Vibrate faster, it is high pitch tone. Vibrate slower, it is low pitch tone. After you have high pitch tone and low pitch tone, you builds your muscle memory. For Do, Re, Mi, fa, So, La, Ti, Do... After you build the muscle memory for each music notes, you may start your song. Mr. Leaflute suggests that we start with "Mary has a little lamb". This song has few notes and easy to play.
