I grew up in Hong Kong in the 60’s, while I’ve heard of this development, never knew what it represented. I truly admire those who survived, endured, and later thrived to become successful professionals! It also make me appreciate my parents, who were not rich, but provided the family sufficiently during our time in HK! Thank you Mom and Dad, RIP!🥲❤️

Same here. My father worked to feed the six of us while mom took care of us at home. Not easy at all.

@@edwardkoo0911 I left Hong Kong before 1997, and came to Canada. It was a painful decision, though I had three brothers and sisters still in HK looking after my parents (now in heaven).
Thanks for making this wonderful video together with one of the greatest Cantonese song. I can see the apartment where I lived since I was born, my primary school, my wonderful childhood memory.
