Sha Na Na the music act goes back to Woodstock. They were good. And they were a great choice to play the band for the big dance in "Grease."

Jamie Woods Perhaps good musicians but the shtick between songs is an acquired taste. Not everyone's cup of tea.

Just heard the news a week late. Always bothers me that such legends don't make bigger news - I'd think losing someone so special in the history of pop/rock would be broadcast more. Ronnie Spector deserves that. I think past my kiddie music like The Chipmunks and Mouseketeer songs, the girl groups, Four Seasons and other late doo-wop come early 60's rock were the birth of my musical journey. I owe my entire psyche and soul to their sound and energy. Rest well Ronnie and thank you.

Pure gold... and while the wall-of-sound behind it on the records was all well and good, that voice would be stunning even if it were backed by a solitary banjo.
