Tang Seng is a household name in China. Almost everyone knows about Tang Seng. In reality, Tang Seng does exist. He was a monk in the early Tang Dynasty. He did go to ancient India to seek Buddhist scriptures. He finally returned to Chang'an after going through thousands of hardships and obstacles and was admired by the public.
