100% businesses really should help those high achieving students struggling or not being able to afford it, in Islamic studies, medicine, law, engineers. We missing out in great contribution for the future generation.

Assalaamu Alikum Brothers, I really enjoyed your discussion. Not sure what financial model we are trying to establish. Our prophet SWS never asked for remuneration to spread Islam. Sahabas never asked remuneration to support our beloved Prophet SWS. Caliphates never got remuneration for their service. Even the famous four Imams never asked remuneration for codifying the sunnah and presented to us and we proudly follow now to practice Islam. When I visit Gujrati mosques I see a different perception what practiced 1400 years ago and they encourage their kids to become Hafiz and Aalim at the same time continue with your main stream education and become doctors, engineer and so forth. They encourage youngsters to be financially independent at the same time continue as Imam. I know some mosques which do not have a fixed Imam but a team of Imams and they refused to get paid by the community because they want to do khidmah to the Muslim Ummah. When an Imam is paid by the community his advice will never be independent and neutral. Masha Allah Brother himself running a business and financially independent. I know a brother who is a Hafiz and Aalim and qualified doctor too. He leads Jamaat in a Mosque at the same time do his professional work. At my work, some brothers masha Allah lead Friday prayer as they are Hafiz at the same time continue working. Our young generation find it difficult to connect with the Imams because they haven’t gone through the journey and unable to relate with them. Now the question we need to ask ourselves whether we want financially independent Imams like in the early time of Islam, who can offer independent neutral guidance and advice or salaried Imams who has to please the community members when they speak and offer their guidance. We need to stop thinking about Jewish Rabbi has highest Salary why not Muslim Imaams. In short we need to follow sunnah not the financial model of Jews. Jazak Allah khair

Assalamualaikum brothers...as an imam im fascinated by the nikaah service...i would like as how you work out the £350 charge? With my interactions with the different communities, i cant imagine they would accept a price like that. Perhaps if you could break it down it would be easier to understand
