I stumbled upon this channel and it got goosebumps. As I remember watching the TV series that had syndicated episodes showing on an early morning weekend schedule here in the USA. Glued to the TV until the series ended. A good replacement for this one was SPACE 1999. Years later, I was fortunate enough to operate and maintain US GOV'T highly classified military and leading edge / highly advanced electronic weapons systems. And also during my post military service civilian career, I was able to work at the USAF B-2 Bomber Flight Test Facility and then later after the testing concluded transferred to NASA Dryden at Edwards AFB, CA. This was one of the TV programs that inspired me to set my future goals high in my life. Of which, I was fortunate and have managed to be able to live out the remainder of my life comfortably and with fond memories of those early Apollo moon landing years.

Thanks to your comment I just gave myself a crash course in their comparison. They look very similar to my untrained eye but that antenna thing on the top of the stabilizer of the 707 jumped out. Also that thing poking out under the tail. And the nose too. You have a keen eye. I had to look again and again.

@@allenra530 - the wigs were part of the female duty uniform for women officers assigned to moonbase - before the Apollo landings some believed static electricity might be a problem on the moon - long female hair might cause short circuits in the control room equipment hence the wigs - that was the original excuse for the wigs even if the science behind it turned out to be wrong

So this movie was made in the seventies I supposed and they already had tele-conferencing available then. As far as I can recall the mobile phone was first introduced in the late eighties with a system called ATUR and later developed into more sophisticated system and devices which are known to us now as smartphones. Strange isn’t it how the movie industry seems to have knowledge of this futuristic technology, the question is who informed them and why? So what else are being kept secret from us the mere mortal.
