I think you guys ware missing the lesson Anakin was teaching. He was teaching Ahsoka to accept her mistakes and not being stuck in the past because she and Anakin know that they are more than that. When Ahsoka didn’t listen, Anakin turns Vader mode and pushes Ahsoka to make the choice if she is willing to move on or if she doesn’t. Ahsoka at the end decides that she does want to live.

If you guys remember the Mortis arc from Clone Wars, Ahsoka literally died and then was brought back to life because The Daughter gave her essence to save her. The bird that appeared with Ahsoka throughout Rebels (Morai) is the force essence of The Daughter. Since then, it has been heavily implied by Dave Filoni that Ahsoka is taking on the role of the daughter. This episode HEAVILY implies that Anakin is taking on the role of The Father in the World Between Worlds. He can switch between his light and dark sides in an instant and has full control over all aspects of the force, in other words, he has *balance*. He is truly the Chosen One after “defeating” The Emperor in episode 6. Ahsoka has not been herself since learning that Anakin turned into Vader in Rebels. You can tell Rosario has been acting very stoic in this series and her Mandalorian episode and this episode marks a turning point with her getting closure with Anakin. She chooses to “live” in both a literal and metaphorical sense and let go of her fear of becoming like Anakin and move forward with her life. Her line at the end to Huyang “It’s better than going nowhere” is fully representative of her character growth from her experience in this episode.

"What was the lesson?" "End him!" I see the Normies are continuing their tradition of ignoring everything Anakin says to Ahsoka. Ahsoka's been stagnant throughout the live-action shows because of what happened on Malachor. Ahsoka was so rattled by learning the truth about Vader that she fell, she's scared that her destiny is to repeat the mistakes of the past because of her connection to Anakin. Anakin had to bring her to him, to remind her that just like him, what is to come is her choice. If she wants to live, she has to trust herself and fight, and accept that mistakes happen. Anakin allowed himself to be defeated, for Ahsoka to have the choice of striking an unarmed opponent like he once did, or finding another way like Luke did. Thus, a smile from Anakin, as she learned from his mistake.

The Normies..... failing yet again to understand the tragedy of Anakin Skywalker. " You are more than that, because I am more than that.". This is basically the lesson laid down. Ahsoka was drowning in fear of becoming a part of her Master's legacy and following those footsteps (she held back on truly teaching Sabine and flat out turned down Grogu because of this fear).. What I love about all of this is that it is basically Anakin taking the weight off of Ahsoka’s heart regarding his fall to the dark side. It was never her fault that he became Vader… and you can feel that Anakin is so very proud of what Ahsoka has become. Even though during Rebels she says she isn’t… but Ahsoka is a Jedi (her own way). Her fearlessness, determination and compassion make her a true Jedi. Seeing Hayden Christianson as Anakin Skywalker just warms my heart. I’m a Clone Wars kid and it’s so good to see these two together again (especially after their duel in Rebels). Anakin wasn’t just teaching Ahsoka during the Clone Wars… he was also teaching a generation of Star Wars fans. (Also Hayden and Rosario have great chemistry on and off camera.)

And her telling anakin what "if she wants to stop fighting" is to be interepted. What if i just want out of it all. She is older, she tired. Anakin told her, "Live or die." He taught her that life is a drag sometimes. Even when the path seems impossible, you keep fighting, and you keep moving with the lessons of those before you. Also she believes that if she continues on the path she on right now with all the regrets, she'll become like her master Thats how i saw that whole sequence

You guys are missing the actual lesson that Ahsoka had to learn. First off this Anakin is after Vader died, when Ahsoka said “I won’t fight you” Anakin said “I heard that before.” Luke had said that same thing to him and that’s who Anakin was talking about, also when Anakin said “that’s what this is about” he’s referring to his past as Vader. Now the lesson for Ahsoka that Anakin is teaching her is that she more than her failures and mistakes, same way Anakin is more than just his darkest moments as Darth Vader and more than his time as a Jedi. In death Anakin is more powerful than ever and he pulled Ahsoka into the world between worlds, Ahsoka said earlier that she wanted to stop fighting, if she had she would die. Because when choose life she returns back in the water.
@blackjack47
3 ай бұрын
1. Ahsoka has the animal powers, not as strong as ezra, but you can clearly see them in the first episode of tails of the jedi, the "tiger" doesn't eat her because she controls/talks to it using the force. 2. The lesson was her choosing to live, as she was living in exile and afraid of of becoming like her master, that's why she was so closed off at the beginning of the season and she becomes more of her clone wars, pre trauma self after she chooses to let go the guilt she holds over anakin and what he became. She let's go of the fear that she will become like him, very apparent from the discussion they have during the siege of Mandalor part. 3. Remember that the Daughter gave her remaining life force to safe/resurrect Ahsoka during the Mortis arc, that's why Moirai is following her all the time, it's not hard to imagine that out of all the Jedi she has the purest connection to the Light side of the force due to this.

I think the lesson was choosing to “Live” and not just “Survive”. I might be wrong but this was how I interpreted the episode. Ahsoka has been just surviving for a long time, and yes there is a big threat to the galaxy that she is trying to deal with, but she’s just fighting to fight and without a path for what she wants out of life. Anakin was trying to help her not continue down that path because he cares about her and he knows if she stays like this it can lead to her death or even to the dark side. If you caught it there’s a moment where her eyes flash the Sith color when she’s face to face with him before choosing to live. So while she is going to keep fighting, she now is going to do it with a renewed sense of purpose and with hope that when it’s over she can finally “Live”.
@leoroemer6085

In the memories they went through while he was "Light Anakin," Ahsoka refused to understand what he was trying to teach her. He offered her one final lesson of living to the fullest or dying to the state of just surviving, engaged her in a friendly duel to rekindle her past life, and showed her memories of before the Dark Times, but she wasn't understanding the point. When he realized it wasn't working and she pinned him out as entirely evil because of Vader's crusade, he took a more direct approach and released Vader just enough that she finally understood the message, which is why the dark side left so quickly in him.

The lesson for me is in Anakin's line to Ahsoka about the legacy of destruction: "But you're more than that, because I am more than that." Before her encounter with Darth Vader she referred to Anakin as a kind master who cared deeply about his friends, and when faced with Anakin's darkness her beliefs are shook to her core. Then we don't see her again for some time, and the next time we see Ahsoka she's conflicted, holding back in the use of her power and in her training of Sabine, because she sees much of Anakin's anger and explosive personality in Sabine and her mandalorian way. She's afraid to pass on Anakin's darkness because Ahsoka herself has it. You can see it clearly at the end of the battle when she disarms Anakin and her eyes change for a second, before she regains control. She's afraid of her legacy and Anakin shows her that she's in control.

I think Ahsoka was still somewhat traumatized & depressed from all the events prior to this time line & had not really faced her past. She sees Anakin as the evil corrupted & murderous person he was because those are her last memories of him. I feel like her revisiting the past & not only accepting her Master’s legacy but embracing all the qualities that they both share is when she is truly reborn. Hence the water scene which I’ve heard symbolizes a form of baptism as she submerges into the water & is pulled out as a new person, Ahsoka the White. Also we should keep in mind that all this is about 5 years after Vader has died. So he is very much redeemed atp in time.

Do you guys not understand this is Anakin. This takes place 5-6 years after return of the Jedi, Anakin is officially dead but now is a force ghost. But he’s the chosen one, meaning he’s the new father of Mortis but watches over the WBW. Anakin now is control over his dark and light side. That was Anakin considering the fact he literally says “ I’ve heard that before “ that statement he got from Ashoka came from Luke from Ep 6. Ahsoka wouldn’t have known that. So that was Anakin. Anakin doesn’t need to be the rank of master, when he’s now similar to force Priests from CW S6. He can shapeshift into his CW self or Vader, change the scenery and do things not even force ghosts or Mortis Ones could do.

They did not have to go so hard with it or the score, and yet, it became awe-inspiring and something full of beauty. All about Ahsoka confronting her past, emotionally. She already lost to Vader, but there was no peace there, only tragedy, and it has weighed in her ever since. This is the point where she finally comes to terms with her master, and who that means she is, undefined by her past, because she needs to be a better master for Sabine than Anakin ended up being for her.

All the way back in the animated clone wars movie Anakin made Ahsoka a singular promise. That he is not like other masters. He won't teach her anything profound but he promised her that he would teach her how to survive, how to be able to rely on herself when everything else fails. He promised her a future unbound by the jedi rules. He promised her the option of a choice. Anakins lesson here was a call back to the earlier age. As Ahsoka grew older, she also grew more distant, more confused and lost. Anakin himself is finally free and one with the force which is something nearly impossible for those unwilling to move on. His final (at least for now) lesson reflected the very same. Move past your past, don't let it chain you as it did to me. Learn from my example (You are more than that because IM more than that). Hate or fear what I became, what you "could" become, but don't let that fear drive nor control you. Make the hardest of choices. Live or die.

My new favorite Spidey look is the, "I've caught you in my web," look when he logics that we're all animals. We are all animals. Anakin did say that he would become so powerful that he would even be able to stop people from dying.

Yes! This is the one everyone was waiting for reactions to! 😁❤️
This is easily my favourite episode of Ashoka!!Anakin/Hayden returning after his redemptioj in Return of the Jedi much wiser now in The World between Worlds to teach Ashoka one final lesson and showing her that shes more than just a warrior and that her Jedi training is more than just war and death because her Master Anakin is more than that more than Darth Vader and for me help Ashoka deal with the emotions that have been troubling her since Rebels in a way only Anakin could we see the dark side dwelling in her just like her master (also the shots of Anakin turning to Vader in flashes chills everytime!) and just like Anakin in the end she choose the light and seeing her come out in White robes more balanced and intune with the force and stronger than shes ever been before ready to rescue Ezra and protect life as a true Jedi just incredible as she reaches out to connect and feel the Purrgil 😊Seeing Anakin in live action Clone wars armor was so incredible and how he takes her back to basics as we jump throughout moments in the Clone Wars its just perfect.😁Ashoka vs Anakin is easily one of the greatest lightsaber duels in all of Star Wars for me especially when Hayden spins his lightsaber round his back!Also when Jacen feels the duel through the force the music in that scene is beyond epic The Force theme blended with Kanans theme just Wow😱The entire Purgill scene comnecting with Ashoka and jumping to hyperspace so awesome.So many epic quotes in this episode too my two favourites though "Your part of a legacy now" "But my part in that legacy is one of death and war" "But yout more than that because i'm mkre than that" Ahsoka, within you will be everything I am. All the knowledge I possess. Just as I inherited knowledge from my Master and he from his. You’re part of a legacy."

@@HaydenWerren Yeah, they seem to miss a lot . Genuinely not trying to come down on anyone for their opinions, but feel they would have enjoyed this a lot more if they spent some time away from the world. But they are a good representation of “Normal” people watching this who don’t understand the significance of the moments. Unfortunately, that’s not a take most people watching reactions want. We want to see people as excited as we are for this stuff. Like showing someone your favorite movie/show and getting their reaction. I also can’t imagine why they cut out one of the best shots from the episode with the Badass flashes between Anakin and Darth as they re-enter the World between Worlds. Maybe the Editor hates Anakin lol

My theory to the Anakin and Ahsoka stuff this episode is that we know Anakin to be the chosen one to keep the force in balance and now after his death he seems to have found his place as the new "the father" (like from the Mortis Clone Wars arc) figure, as the keeper of balance, the controller of light and dark, like he does in this episode. To me it seemed like that Anakin used both the light and dark to teach Ahsoka the lesson to "live", to "live on" or "keep on living", to move on from the things in her past she had no control over, that him turning evil doesn't determine her fate and that she (and Anakin himself now, since he seems like "the father" here, in control of both light and dark) is so much more than just his dark side and evil deeds, cause she has also all the good in her that he and his former masters passed down to her.

Jedi powers arn't super powers as in a DC/Marvel type, jedi arn't super heroes with each having a unique use of the force thats only available to them like a fingerprint, it's all the same power, the force, it's just if you're someone more attuned to nature you're powers thru the force will have more power with the things you relate to and there can be many people with that relationship then allowing them to explore and use these powers

Younger Ahsoka is played by Ariana Greenblatt, whose best known for Stuck in the Middle, The Boss Baby 2, Avengers: Infinity War (she was Younger Gamora), Barbie, etc... After Jenna Ortega, she's the most successful of the child actors from Stuck in the Middle (or I've been seeing her in the most things lately).

Funny thing with how you guys brought up the difference between animals and aliens in the Star Wars universe b/c in legends, not sure how much in canon, the Empire was very xenophobic and pro-human, to the point where they reclassified some species like the wookies and Mon Calamari as non-sentient, essentially animals, so they could use them as slave labor.
