Nicely done. It was clear and simple to follow. Thanks for taking the time to make it.

Really helpful. A good refresher before I GM tonight. Love how clear and straightforward the information is!

Thank you for the video. Remember that on a tie the defender wins the opposed test. So the attack hits only if the attacker scores more hits than the defender. If the attacker scores the same or fewer hits than the defender the attack missses.

I may be wrong, but I think It would be a grazing hit.

Thanks, I will gm a session in roughly one hour. Now I feel prepared (first time gm SR but multiple other rulesets under the belt)

Physical Boxes are calculated as 8 + Bod/2. You don't divide the 8 by 2.

Seems like having armor not automatically reducing damage but instead leaving armor effectiveness up to a dice roll makes for a much deadlier game and perhaps a bit too unpredictable. How do players feel when 1 net success kills their character?

The armor adds to their defense dice pool; fire fights are pretty deadly! But one success wiping someone doesn't happen often. SR takes much more thought into tactical battles and cover than something like DnD does, and murder is a serious deal in the shadowrun world!

@@clutterdonor6062yeah, I think it's the expectation. 1 net success sounds like a grazing hit but it's not. Armor only works on a 5 or 6 which really cuts down its effectiveness. 8 armor dice sounds great but the probability of rolling 8 success is well... very low.
