I have a huge collection of this game and play it all the time…. I still sat and watched your very soothing video. Loving your channel.

Awesome! Any expansion you would recommend?

@@MeepleVillage always recommend buying the 2 western starter boxes first, then Frontier Village. From there I usually recommend Cynder as it is usually the cheapest option, however if you can swing it the Blasted Wastes are a great bang for your buck.

Awesome suggestions! Thank you, I am looking to add more content so I can continue the campaign... thoughts?

@meeple village The Targa otherworld is a bit lackluster and hard to enhance (at least until the new kickstarter delivers). I would either buy the other starter (Jargano otherworld is great stuff) OR Cynder (and then buy some of the fire enemies like Succubi and the Belial). Definitely buy Frontier Village as it enhances town visits and traveling a ton. Shop through Miniature Market and buy some of the expansions as they are put on sale, then place them in your Customer Hold. Once your Customer Hold hits above $100, they will free ship everything to you

Likewise visit the BoardGameGeek site for City Of Ancients. There is tons of fan stuff out there. Recommend you find the Enhanced Travel Hazard booklet, the otherworld towns, and some of the monsters there. There arent Threat cards for the monsters so just roll a die when you have to draw threat, and on a 6 its the homebrew monsters instead…

This play through is giving me flashbacks to some fun gaming up in New Jersey. I liked playing the Bandito and making dynamite. I also enjoyed visiting town. All the dice rolling in town was suspenseful. I'll have to tune in for part 2 tomorrow and the big battle!

There is so much dice rolling, it keeps you on your toes and at the edge of your seat!

Great playthrough! I would normally think it had too much rolling for me but I’m tempted :)

It is a lot of rolling, but there are ways to mitigate bad rolls, which is appreciated!

Thanks for a great play-through! One of the ways I like to record xp and $$ is by using Monopoly money.

Do you still have to assemble the minis yourself in this thing?

Yes, you have to. But it is pretty simple to do

In July I finished painting a bunch of Shadows and Brimstone minis! I haven't had a chance to actually play the game yet, but I hope to do so on my channel before the year is over. It seems very difficult to adventure with just one hero!

I think the game does an ok job of scaling, of course dice are usually the ones that control your destiny!

I love this playthrough and I love that it takes place in the old west. You really make me want this game even more, but I will have to put it off for a few months because of all my games I haven't got to the table yet. Again really good job.

The western theme does put it in a special place. Leveling up by going into town and visiting different locations is also much fun!

@@MeepleVillage I personally like the randomness of it and the ability to go to different worlds. The home brew campaign systems are also impressive. I also like how the fan base is unafraid of home brew and house ruling.
