I'm about to get my TM, and will probably do the same thing to move the box forward. I'll just mark the box in the new position and drill holes into it, instead of drilling new frame holes. Then seal the old holes. Seems like a good solution and a better position for the box.

Would love a TigerMoth update. Some questions: 1. Curious how the e-fridge has worked out mounted to the frame? 2. Were able to center the fridge on the frame, or is the spare tire preventing that? 3. Does the electrical connection to the camper restrict fridge lid opening? Has this been an issue? 4. Did you re-mount tongue box? 5. What about using/making a fridge cover during travel to prevent road debris from damaging fridge? 6. In retrospect, would you have gone with a slightly smaller fridge? 7. Did Taxa ever contact you regarding poor workmanship of mis-drilling holes while mounting the tongue box? Thanks!

the fridge is awesome! The fridge is as near center as you can get. Most of the weight is by the rear tire so even if it's not exactly it's definitely more balanced. The connection does restrict the lid but not enough to be a nuisance. Plus this fridge has a gas strut to hold the lid open. The ARB elements is one of the few weatherproof fridges on the market. I do have a smaller fridge from my other build, but I wasn't willing to give up the rear seat of my colorado yet. I never remounted the tongue box. I haven't really had a need for it. I have a 2022 walk-around video in the works, and I will also add a 5lb propane mount and tank. IMO its a must-have. Anything else, let me know! ~jim

Nice video. I'd like to see more honest videos and your continued thoughts on the TigerMoth. I'm on the fence due to its issues and I'm 6'3". Good job. Cheers.

It doesn’t do either sides any good to be less than truthful. It’s a good camper I believe Covid affected it a bit. I’ll definitely make more videos on it. I have a planned video about the Leitner gear pod. They totally did the right thing and sent me a new box!

Thanks for your notes, I am (was?) considering this rig. Why hesitation is due to build issues that folks are having. And it seems that the small professional attention to details may be missing (Stainless steel hardware!!??) What are your thoughts about the frame and axle? What do you like? Would you recommend buying this rig? Cheers

It’s a good trailer. Stainless is always a plus on anything! No problems with the frame or axel. I like the axel. No complaints. I really like the big side door. The pull out kitchen is nice. I am probably going to redesign it though. I would recommend it for those that it fits. It’s tiny. Not for everyone that’s for sure. Next mod is a 270 awning with sides for just a little more room.

Thanks for the info, I've been considering Taxa for a while. It's very disheartening to spend so much money and have issues. And that's not just Taxa, it's 99% of American built Campers/Trailers! So I'm at that cross road of which Trailer to get. I want Mobility with sound construction! I'll be living in for a couple years as I just retired in Jan!👍

I like the trailer. It's just a little weird that someone wouldn't take the time to mark the hole and drill it once and not put a second hole in the frame that is unnecessary

@@Steve-yo4ld sadly I am still chasing a leak. Taxa will fix but the problem is getting it to the place during peak camping season so for now I am chasing it myself and covering it when not in use.

I got a 21 TM, had a few months. Don't have the AC like you, can add that later, but there are a few rust spots on similar areas, paint peeling, as well as little bit of soft rust on the black steel roof rack on top. Looks like its going to require a little bit of maintenance, but it is what it is. Your tool box is slightly different -- was the water from wheel or lock on top? The lock on mine is on front of toolbox, no leaks.

Sorry to hear. Yeah the water is coming from the lock.just a bad choice.

This video super helpful… I’m considering this trailer for October purchase to live out of.. gives me info to ask sales rep.. I don’t want to spend 20grand on 10grand value.
