About the Talk:
The inaugural ceremony of Shakti kumbh 2024 at Auroville witnessed the Shakti personified as female spiritual Gurus. After Nilima Bhat's introduction of vision and mission of Shakti Kumbh, Dr. Jayanti Ravi, the chief guest for the event, spoke about Sri Aurobindo's iconoclast idea of divine with devotion, surrender and breaking glass ceilings of gender. She also focussed on the need to revitalise the Knowledge of Self.
Shakti Kumbh envisions to build a gathering of female spiritual practitioners, across the subcontinent’s many religious traditions who can uphold and revitalize the Feminine Principle within, together - for regenerating, healing and leading our homes, our communities, our country, our world.
Shakti Kumbh 2024 attempts to explain the symbolic significance of numbers from one to nine and their association with some important concepts and divinities of Indic knowledge. It also explores how we have used numbers to organize knowledge about creation and systematically ascertain the order of divinities in a complex pantheon to envision a grand view of cosmology from a numerical perspective.
