Performed in the atmospheric dawn mists of the ancient Mayan Temples of Tikal, Guatemala.
Kinhin 経行 is the ancient Zen practice of walking meditation.
Traditionally practiced at sacred sites, and often combined with the chanting of sacred sutras.
Walking meditation while playing the Zen shakuhachi flute is a practice that was cultivated by the Komuso - Japanese shakuhachi "monks of emptiness and nothingness".
Regulating and merging the breath, movement, sound and awareness into a mindful flow with the living breathing environment of birdsong, fragrances, gentle breeze, shifting light, mist, colours.
This moment complete.
Walking without walking.
Unmoving while moving.
Silent while playing.
