Being in the oilfield, working a rig for 12 to 16 hours a day and coming home completely black on every inch of your body-because clothes don’t help, the oil soaks through shortly after starting the day- I wish I could share this opinion. Unfortunately, not all jobs are the same. If I just used water, my skin would stay permanently stained and clog every pore in sight, lol The oil fields probably one of the filthiest jobs out there, especially working a rig. Clothes just straight up don’t get washed, cause they’ll destroy the washing machine. Easier to just wear them a month till they rip apart and buy new ones. I use soap, cause at the end of the day, the health risks of leaving residual crude oil and the chemical they pump down those wells is far worse than the risks of using soap.

For women, there may be some other factors but when a person switches over to deodorant without aluminum, they will notice that what they eat affects body odor. I guess an example would be some countries that use a lot of spices in their daily diet and don’t use deodorant like the US. You actually smell those spices on them even though they’re not eating at the time or cooking a meal. It’s the metals in the deodorants and the detergents in the cleansers and the fragrances that mask the odors in what we eat, and the health of our Microbiome, because the skin and even the scalp and hair, are a detoxifying organ. It’s not what people want to hear, but it’s true. The body was created to be self cleaning.

@@peterhoatson Paul surfs🏄♂️ daily, and that sea water acts as a cleanser. Although the body was designed to be self cleaning and smell fresh, we were not purpose to live in a polluted, chemical filled world with smelly animals and sickness. Male cats spray and can ruin a home. A mild cleanser, especially for someone with long hair that does not surf every day and aluminum free deodorant would suffice. It all depends though. When my dad was alive, he had cats and he became sick with cancer for years. He and his home had odors that were unappealing to me and no amount of Febreze was good enough. I couldn’t always go home right away and shower and those odors still get into your breathing system. All of the rancid seed oils and food chemicals in the fast food industry create glycation in the body and can make people smell bad as well. That’s the world we live in now and people are always trying to smell fresh but they don’t realize or understand that it’s lifestyle that creates the stink. The body is still incredibly designed, because despite all of those scientific mistakes, and decisions that people make regarding their health, our bodies are still trying to help us be clean.

Health y sol is a really good tallow based soap. Bit expensive but so worth it. Cured my eczema. Ingredients used by them are only: tallow and olive oil and coocnut oil and raw honey. Also get a shower filter

As an astrigent, vinegar is better than water only. Home made pineapple vinegar has proerties over ACV. I also mmake whey water from 0% fat milk. The lactic acid exfoliates the scalp.

Try telling that to a mama of 4 boys that just came inside covered in some combination of mud, melted ice cream and spaghetti sauce 🙃 We do use Dr. Bronners Castile soap, the citrus scent is my favorite!

I use native shampoo and body wash to shower, not the best but better than most shampoos and soaps in the market this is necessary for me as I work at a warehouse dealing with a lot of cardboard, chemicals, and dust heck we even have some mice running around the facilities.
