I totally agree about the dry spray shampoos. Thanks for the honest review.

Joan so many public/community swimming pools have individual bathroom shower stalls for the disabled. Have you gone and used these…it might be cheaper to pay for a swim than a cap?

I’m wondering if an outdoor type shower might work somehow. I’ve also seen products that drape over your back and direct the water into the sink, onto the ground or into a bucket. I have a large soda bottle that I use to rinse things. I purchased a sprinkle cap for it and it works fairly well for outside. ❤ You are an inspiration!

that sounds pretty smart. I am going to try the bottle with the sprinkle cap and see how it works for me.

I have used these caps on my mom who has m.s. and cant do anything for herself anymore. I thought it was cool at first. Do know that after a while you will need to do a regular shower and wash the residue from the caps out of your hair. I found my moms hair was getting a bad build up of soap that made her hair look and feel horrible. I noticed your cross necklace. Beautiful! I have one just like yours. Except my Grand daughters ashes are in mine. Hope everything is going well for you. Thank you for your video

Yes I noticed the build up the first time i used the cap. I can only imagine it gets worse the longer you go with out a proper wash. I am sorry about your granddaughter. Cool idea to have her ashes in the necklace.

I'm sorry about your Granddaughter. Deeply. Apple Cider Vinegar is great for soft, silky hair & a healthy scalp, & it's used to remove residue as well. You can add water, or not, & use it after shampoo, or just alone. Periodically to remove build up, or to clean hair anytime. You leave it in, & if it's pure it will smell really strong while wet, but has zero smell while dry. That's the only downside, the smell while wet, but it's very good for hair & scalp, especially for removing build up. And it's natural so you don't have to worry about any added chemicals being left on your scalp or hair. My X husband had MS & psoriasis with a tendency to have oily hair, & couldn't take long showers, so he would shampoo when he could, & if he couldn't shampoo, he would wet his hair & put the ACV in & that kept everything clean. I have psoriasis on my scalp & dry scalp, & it works great for me. He really hated the smell, it doesn't bother me very much, it only lasts until it drys, that is definitely the downside, but you can add as much water as you want. Good luck & many blessings to you & your Mom. Much Love

I heard you say on Bob's channel that you don't like the feeling of residue (on your skin) from wipes, & I'm the same way, I wanted to tell you that for hair I use Apple Cider Vinegar, it leaves my hair & scalp extremely soft & clean with no residue. And you simply pour or squirt the ACV on your hair & no rinse, You can add water or not (I don't) & you can use it with or without shampooing first, it will remove soap residue, & it does smell while wet! But there is zero smell after it dries. It's good for greasy hair, healthy scalp (my issue) & removes any residue or oil on scalp or hair. I'm a product junkie & have used tons of conditioners (from having long processed hair) over the years & nothing leaves my hair more silky (unless I layer conditioners, I can get it silky, but then it's not clean, & very expensive). It's all natural so you don't have to worry about possible added chemicals being left on your scalp or hair. And it's inexpensive. I feel like I'm writing a add for ACV, lol, it's just I've used so many products, & it really is amazing stuff, it's the most simple way to get clean hair I know of & the only downside is the smell when wet, which goes away completely when dry, even with pure ACV & no rinse. Everyone should use it periodically to remove build up, imo. I saw you said you were quitting Van life, Best of luck no matter what you do in the future! Much Love

So did it last longer this time. Would one of those absorbent hiker towels maybe remove more of the residue?

I think the cap was a success for occasional use. I saw someone suggest a community shower/swimming pool option. Do you have Planet Fitness or Anytime Fitness with a pool? Can you shower in your chair? Have you tried your shower attachment over your sink or bathtub? My husband had a long neck (kitchen type) faucet with sprayer installed in his bathroom so he could wash his hair in sink.
