Originally from Tanganyika ( Great lakes region) and trekked down south into present day South Africa. Then during the Mfecane time of Shaka Zulu they trekked upwards again and settled in Limpopo SA, Zimbabwe and Mozambique. Also note that these borders qe have now are colonial borders not the borders we had before colonialism. That's the issue Malema has been preaching about a borderless Africa and some South Africans think he's crazy. If you come to Zimbabwe you will also find Tswana, Venda and Sotho speaking people. They are Zimbabwean but are Sotho, Venda and Tswana.
