Crazy good shit!🤘🏻 I really do love the way tricks look on an oldschool board. The effort put in it as well to nail those flip tricks. I have a large selection of boards, sometimes break out the 80's decks. So I have a huge amount of appreciation for those skills. Great footage my friend!

The old skatepark I used to go to had that exact same design. I remember thinking everything felt huge, you skating it makes it looks like a child's playground. They destroyed a while back to put in a soccer field or something.

That was sicc. Years ago, when we came out there we hit that park, it was really unique, lol, but we had a lot of fun there. That was the sickest bs flip, fully goldfish'd almost missed the hip it was so huge. Running into existing subs (he killed it) the plan is working, next up, world domination. Tight episode!

I had back surgery a few years ago and haven’t been able to do half of what I used to. Even curbs and flat ground scares me so I’m burned out..which I never thought would happen after 20+ years of skating. Watching this kinda helps though. I’m enjoying watching skating at least. It’s depressing not being able to have fun with this.

Damn man that's rough, so I'm very glad to hear that this helps a bit. You have any video ideas that you would be super stoked on, I got you! I've always thought to myself as long as I can just ride a skateboarding around the neighborhood worst case scenario I would still feel happy. That's better than not skating at all. Especially when you have those months after an injury where you can't even step on a skateboard.

No one will read this, but I'm telling my dumb story anyway. When I started skating, it was on an old pile of garbage I was bought years ago for christmas. Once my mother realized I was into it, she saved up and surprised me one day by bringing me to a skate shop. We got me a real skateboard. I spent the first 3 days getting used to going fast and stopping. I'd run, throw down my board, then scrape the tail until I came to a stop. Pretty soon, the tail was so shaved down that if I put my foot far enough back to press it down, my shoe would snag concrete and I'd do the splits. So I went inside and showed my mom, and asked about a new board. She was sweet, but no way. 3 days, and I wanted another. Nope. Me: But it's got no tail left. Mom: well what is that? (Pointing at the untouched nose.) Me: thats the nose. Mom: (grabs my board and flips it around.) There. Now its the tail. I spent a year riding that board. I used the huge ass nose as a tail, and I had almost no nose. I've been trying to figure out why these oldschool shaped boards feel so much better to me since I started riding them, because I always skated popsicle shaped decks before. Then I had that realization. I turned my first popsicle into an unshaped shaped board. My first year was spent on a huge tail, with no nose. Shaped boards for life.

Wow. Youre skating the geegah really good being how difficult it is to skate w the tricks youre doin. I tried the same deck before & besides the no nose deal for me the tail made certain tricks really tuff due to it having so much kick. Im oldschool & grew up w all the old shaped powell decks but nowadays l fully prefer a popsicle & l really like a small & mellow tail aswell. Once l switched to a popsicle l never went back to a shaped. But the whole nostalgia thing is def cool w them. 👍

I like shaped boards and they are the best sellers at PP (according to the most popular tab) but not that. I grew up on the noseless bones brigade decks and I'm not afraid to say they stink and I don't like em. I did like them, I still have them in my garage in a box where they belong. Andy's board is good, even the Frankie Hill is good. The skull and sword needs to get out of the way and make room for the future. You don't get to be #1 resting on your 80s laurels.

@@TD75 I loved launch ramps in the 80s but that's not a thing anymore, right? Is someone still doing early grab tricks? I don't think there's anything I did in the 80s that i can't do easier on a modern deck. 2" flat nose wasn't a benefit.
