Since there's no John Bible Study this week nor is one next week, I decided to share a devotional that I did today! :D
The verse I'll be focusing on is Mark 2:17 (ESV): 17 And when Jesus heard it, he said to them, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I came not to call the righteous, but sinners.”
It is comforting and heartwarming to know Christ loves me, although I am a sinner; in fact, He calls the sinners. What this meant for me was 1. Go on with my days admitting that I'm a sinner, that I lack in the holiness that God requires and will never measure up, and knowing that Jesus measured up to God's law. 2. I need to treat fellow believers with grace because God loves and forgives sinners in Christ despite their sin. These (including me) were the people God came to save and are saving. 3. Live in praise to God that I don't have to earn my salvation, but Christ has earned it.
7:19 For some celebration balloons 🤣😂😭

An excerpt from 6/2/24 Heart Corruptions pt2:
Oh, sit and stare, and be in awe,
Of God, your God, your sin he pardoned all.
Respond with faith, with grateful tears and hear,
His loving voice destroys our every fear.
He calls us home, and yes, he draws us near,
The throne of grace, and wipes our every tear.
