Sharks do not adjust well to captive conditions. Stunted growth. Permanent damage to the development of the sharks themselves. The lateral line on the body pick up electrical stimuli. The bumping into the glass is a sign of distress btw. When they get bigger, it is a possibility that they may stop eating. I know there are harsh comments here. I'm coming from a slightly different standpoint. I've studied sharks as a hobby. Just an advocate for animals living a good full life. Please consider putting these two blacktips in an environment that benefit them in the long run.

Why the hell do people think it's ok to abuse fish and other aquarium animals? Just because it's not a dog or cat does not mean it's ok to stuff them in a small aquarium!

@@Ovukekat Yes, but live feeding is cruel and honestly shouldn't be done unless they absolutely have to. Most folks in the reptile hobby recognize that feeding mice/rats live to reptiles isn't ok unless they have a stubborn pet that refuses to eat frozen thawed . We can pre-kill our feeder fish too and limit their suffering.

I fully support having them in captivity but give them a bigger tank, man. If you’re going to own them, respect them enough to know that they need and deserve way more space than that. They’re not some cichlid or barracuda, they’re whole ass sharks. They need at least 5x the space in all dimensions. They have to constantly move to filter air through their gills. Having them just constantly swimming in a circle is a bit messed up
