he became my fave because of the way he dealt with that children toy store. he was like "go home, and write on a piece of paper how much longer u are willing to work without returning a profit. and be sincerely honest with yourself. and when that time comes, u better close it". all the sharks were quiet because they knew it had to be said, but did t wanna say it

def my favorite just because he gives the most chances for deals, because whether the idea is good or not if it makes money he'll just make a royalty deal with no equity, the other sharks barely do that, kevin also doesn't give them time clocks until he withdrawals the offer either he leaves it on the table even if the people pitching keep asking for other deals.

Being able to watch people on shark tank and being able to weed out the good ideas from the bad is why I watch it. Financial freedom is what the goal is about.
@terrythompson7535

This is true.. but why is freedom relegated only to rich people? Why can't we all have freedom? We shouldn't be required to obtain money in order to decide our own destiny.

Define freedom. I'm not super rich but I'm financially free. Then again I don't have a family so there's that. You have choices in life.
@terrythompson7535
8 жыл бұрын
Sure, I'll define freedom: It's self ownership. Ownership of your own prerogative. The ability to exist without being forced to serve someone else. We have choices in life? Really? Like what? What college to go to? That is chosen for us by the amount of financial constraint put on the purchase of a college education. Where to live? That is determined by the amount of income we receive, which is decided by someone else. To subsist on our own? Nay, that has had an artificial cost mandated to it by law, else is criminalized. Can I choose not to have debt? No, you MUST have credit or be homeless without transportation. Do I have the choice NOT to use a bank? No, else I can't earn money. We can't even own our land without paying the government for it. How in the hell do we have any choice when money equals permission, and we have to have money (thus permission) to do *anything*?

We're free to leave this society and live on our own in the wild. lol But really, college? Quite a few multi-millionaires and even billionaires dropped out of college. Some even dropped out of highschool. You're limited by your mind, actually. Freedom comes from within. If you believe there's limitations then that's self-fulfilled prophecy. If a rat doesn't believe there's a way out of the maze, they'll never bother looking, never find it, then agree with themselves that this is proof that there's no way out. Negative mindset creates negative results. Positive mindset creates positive results. I've been pissed off at the crap in society myself on many levels before so I'm not pointing the finger, just saying that I've learned that it's best to focus on the positive, one baby step at a time. Life will be way easier when you do that. Try reading books by Robert Kiyosaki. He talks about "good debt" vs "bad debt", and how many people beat out taxation by making their own corporation, getting into real estate rental properties, etc. You've just got to explore and find ways to work in the system. Also try looking for a mentor to help you out, a mentor who is of course very successful right now. This takes persistence. An explorers mindset. Many successful millionaires had *mentors* to lead them at one point. Dan Lok is pretty good to watch, just saw a video on KZitem of him talking about how to fight procrastination. Really good. Grant Cardone is so energetic and big into real estate investment / sales. Look 'em up!

Love this guy. He's not an asshole; he's a straight shooter. And for all his talk about loving money, you can tell that it isn't money itself he loves. It's the freedom money affords. I always pay attention when they re-air the Wicked Good Cupcakes segment. This is because in a later episode when Kevin makes a deal with a young entrepreneur, the guy doesn't seem happy. Daymond laughs and points it out and says, "Remember the Cupcakes girl who cried because she was so unhappy when you took their deal?" He couldn't stop laughing and Kevin responded, "Yes, and now they're millionaires".

He's a good man. We all had the impression he was a mean greedy pig, but that is not true, it's just an act for Shark Tank. Someone should be the brutally honest and apathetic shark, and Kevin got the short straw. He is the most pragmatic, and seeks cash flow, he demands cash flow and is very honest about his objective. Mark is arrogant, although a very smart guy that has some core values when investing, I like him, but he can be mean at times. Robert is the sweetie, he is the most humble and gentle of all the sharks, but not a real investing genius. Lori is the worst partner you can find, she only seeks profit, and she is really good at deceiving people into thinking she respects them and wants to build something with them. She just wants to squeeze the shit out of a business until nobody wants their product anymore. Barbara is a nice granny, she is smart and makes some nice investments. Many times I have noticed she goes out because she does not have much money to invest, that's why she always and only invests in small family businesses, and almost all of them succeed in the end. Daymond is a funny subject, he has surely changed because of his wealth, and you can feel the arrogance in his eyes. But he has a big heart, I just wish he could show it more. As for the guest shark, no one stuck more than Richard Branson. When you think billionaire, you think greedy, mean, arrogant, self confidence, luxury. But he is very humble, and you can feel his humane nature millions of km away. I just wish he cut all of his partnerships with Sea World. Those fuckers are torturing whales and dolphins!!

This show is fascinating because of the same reason royal weddings and ceremonies grab attention: You're watching the trading of power between your "betters." This is literally the oligarchy reality TV show. You are watching those at the top decide NOT to crush the little people, so long as they can ride the rollercoaster of "the first time" again and again. Like offering your new bride to the local lord of the land so he can experience his own honeymoon once again. I'm being crude here but I'm sure Kevin doesn't give a fuck. No reason to be so insulting Kevin. Smart, but too crude and common. You do realize all of the other Sharks are wealthy too, but none have the NEED to cut down people who are trying ... like you do! Shame you have that character flaw.... I don't think people like you. I know - I know it's only about $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ but insulting people isn't about money.

he's very smart, but I agree he does cut people down sometimes on SharkTank. I generally think Mark Cuban has the best approach with people.

Rendroc I feel like he does that to test people on how they handle stress and authority.

Kevin O'Leary? The guy worth hundreds of millions? Common? Plenty of people like him, the ones that have a thick skin and have a realistic understanding of the world.
