chris ramm i thought his final scene in the book was excellent. He went out begging, but he did so for the benefit of his sister. The reality is, they had a different environment, they adapted to it. Just like modern humans adapt tot heir specific situations, There are cowards today just as there used to be cowards before, there are less matters of "honor".. and frankly when you have a look at history it's a good thing, honor is something that sounds good on paper only, it was nothing but rituals and status, it had absolutely nothing to do with morality, and I'd rather have a moral society rather than an honorable one.
