William Gaminara and he's not dead just replaced with Matt Smith who for some reason gives Sharpe an terrible Manchester accent- Sharpe grow up in London and spent his early teens in Yorkshire!

I understand that some people find these books randomly, and need explanations but I wish there were options to skip all the background on Sharpe, Harper, the 7 barrel gun, rifles, Hagman, firing sequence, uniforms, etc.

You have to remember that each book is released after a significant period of time and they act as reminders to readers following the story at release who may not have read the previous book for over a year

Also they arent released in chronological order. Sharpe's eagle is the first released (in '81 I think), but being set 1799 Sharpe's Tiger is the first one chronologically the first one (releasedin '97 or something WIP Codename: Sharpe's Curry) soooo ... for someone who doesn't start at the beginning which basically doesnt exist anyways, the explanation is quiet welcome :D But I very much get your point

The laziest most purveyant sharpe novel- I would suspect quickly produced and heavily authored by associates. It doesn’t have the weight of his other works which are remarkable-
