Here is an introduction to the language of Tshangla, which is also known as the language of Sharshop. It is spoken by many people in eastern Bhutan. It is grouped as a Tibeto-Burman language. The Sharshop people are the largest ethnic group of Bhutan. This is part of Tara Linhardt's Spoken Word Series, which eventually evolved into The Treasured Word Series. I am hoping to be able to let the average person who is interested in hearing a bit of some of the languages of the world that are less commonly exhibited and explained hear some of the language broken down. Also for some people thinking of coming to Asia or studying endangered languages I am hoping to provide a nice opportunity for people to meet a native speaker of some of these languages and here some examples. I have tried to keep the same basic questions and order of questions for each language group interviewed so some people linguistically interested in comparisons within some language families can more easily compare them. I do also have a Patreon account and a PaypalMe account if you would like to contribute to this ongoing research to make more of this type of thing possible and available to share. / taralinhardt
