Dark fog permeated the room. The thick mist obscured the majority of my vision. The only light that illuminated this desaturated world came from below. A wry smile formed across my lips as I took in this bit of irony, and yet without any care in the world, I continued on.
The fragmented bridge may have been suspended in time but as my boots pushed against each of the scattered pieces, it only moved me forward.
Marbled dust scattered as the mechanical dials whirred and whistled. Who knew how long it had been since this door had shown any sign of life. I looked back at where I had come from, but only for a brief moment, before making my way through. My eyes gazed upon my guide; the sundering spire which pierced the heavens. Behind me, without my knowning, the gate closed. I had entered the now desecrated lands of the Queen of the Awoken’s Throne World. An entire realm, Taken. Hah. Of course, how could have I possibly hoped to understand what I had yet to face.
Small orbs of remaining light allowed me to navigate my way through this ruined realm. I only slowed down on my descent as the looming darkness successfully creeped in and restricted my light. With respawning restricted, I had to make sure to minimize the amount of careless mistakes I made. A task much easier said than done.
Nonetheless, I jumped into the fray and immediately began taking care of the Taken souls that still loitered among the Thrones Ingress. The acolytes and their eyes didn’t prove much trouble. Neither did the Labyrinth Architect, as this barrier allowed me to isolate it first and then beam it down later.
The symbol of a twin-headed snake formed in the middle of the room. My initial reaction was one of confusion. Thankfully, I was able to consult some maps by osuJDS in order to guide myself around the area. I also clicked through a paused video by Just Arman in order to help guide me through the Hunter’s Remembrance quest. I kept it paused because I didn’t want to spoil it too much, but also reading the quest details did not prove helpful when I had just first arrived.
From the Ingress, I sprinted forwards. Upon seeing the symbol of a phoenix on the wall, I continued left. Taken Thralls ambushed me from every direction and pushed me into a corner. I wasn’t feeling too threatened, but my health was going down quicker than I would like, so in a calm state of panic, I used all of my abilities. This cleared up the mobs fast enough.
Consulting the map and remembering a little bit of the video, I jumped up these jutted out rocks in order to scale this cliff side. However, I confused myself and forgot where I needed to go in order to kill the Minotaur. I couldn’t be bothered to check the video again right now, but at least I remembered that I needed to head towards the twin-headed snake symbol. I jumped and glided across to the other side on my first attempt. Just kidding, I actually fail and find myself respawning right outside the Ingress. Sigh.
