Not at any wedding I went to. (I'm in my 70's so I was there). Perish is the word that more than applies To the hope in my heart each time I realize That I am not gonna be the one to share your dreams That I am not gonna be the one to share your schemes That I am not gonna be the one to share what seems to be The life that you could cherish as much as I do yours Those are not wedding song lyrics.

You are correct sir! It trailed only the iconic “You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feelin’” by the Righteous Brothers. So while it didn’t claim the absolute top spot, it certainly left an indelible mark on the airwaves and hearts of listeners!

The Association was one of my favorite groups in the 60s, and "Windy" was the first song I heard from them. But as far as seeing a live version, note that I only learned recently that (like numerous other groups) they did not actually play the instruments on their records -- the producer used studio musicians to get the best sound. I do remember seeing them on TV a few times, but I'm sure the backing instruments were probably prerecorded.
