I had never heard this song before Pau created this cover. I have however checked out the original by Radiohead, and several other covers by other well known artists. This is by far the best of all renditions I have heard, including the original. Very “Pau-erful”! Again….. LONG LIVE PAULINA VILLAREAL!

Any time you see Pau at a piano you know it's going to be a guided missile straight to the feels. Her version of this, and Haley Reinhart's with Post Modern Jukebox, are the two best of the approximately 8 million that have been done, and better than the original.

This IS and always will be ‘Creep’ for me. This is ‘Hurt’ by Johnny Cash, this is ‘sound of silence’ by Disturbed. It’s “art”, not just “performance”. P.S. You can just see in the upper right there’s an opening in the wall that allows the sound to flow. This shows it better (& is a great version of ‘Show me the Light’) kzitem.info/news/bejne/qKKqq3Z4s5GUlWksi=8Y9of6C67lT_mK7t But first! Dany needs her acoustic cover moment(s). My favorite ‘First Day of My Life’ kzitem.info/news/bejne/komO0K5-mp94lKQsi=UNusHDWIhLdT5kFY & also ‘Home’ kzitem.info/news/bejne/0HmbmYSKa4mglW0si=BN7lo5qv_96kkPEI

The fact it was a challenge and she learned it in an afternoon makes this even more amazing. Pau is a treasure I am always impressed by her performances even stripped down to a phone, piano and her vocals it's stunning. Dany and Ale also play the piano all 3 classically trained. One day to go this has been great thank you. 🔥⚡

Great reaction - especially about her voice and emotion! Don’t get me wrong, I love all 3 of these women and The Warning as a whole. But like you, I am zoned in on Pau- when I came across this cover a year or so ago, it destroyed me . She is so the opposite of not special, and girl trust me, you are noticed. I used to say she is next level, but its beyond that even. Her talent is limitless- and she is that rarified person that if in a crowd of people, the energy she emits just blazes off her, even if standing still…its once in a lifetime stuff with her. We’re lucky to be witnessing her era…

That’s their horribly out of tune, Home piano lol I love that thing. It’s the unofficial fourth member of the warning. Fun fact she wrote breathe on that and submitted it to the record label when they requested another song and that’s why she said she’s not gonna play that it was too personal, but she did the 10th anniversary special

Pau is a very sensitive young woman, and you can feel that raw emotion with how she plays. As I've said, she is our Mozart. A prodigy, with a heart of an angel, but can tear you apart with a lyric and melody. This is why I keep saying to everyone The Warning is the band we've needed for over 40 years. We will talk about these girls just like 60 years later we talk about The Beatles. ⚡⚡⚡🤘🤘🤘💛💓💙

First thing first. *The Good:* A few years earlier. A KZitem band called *PostModern Jukebox* took the Radiohead song *Creep* and stripped it down down to it's foundation. Rearranged the song into a song you would here in a gangster smokie club in the 1940's. Pau took the singing style & piano to create her version. Which was an Instagram challenge she did during the shutdown. Asked her followers pick a song out of four to do. She learned to played the song in a few hours. Tooked the fourth take & posted it. *The Bad:* Do you always have to say something?? Do you love hearing your own voice?? After Pau did her whoooo's and brought the song to a halt. Allowing the song to breathe. Here's the reactor chiming in with absolutely nothing but to hear his voice. He stops right away. Ruining the mood of the song. Then pause the video not too long after that to say what?? Anything important?? Nope. It's really unbelievable.

Well it is his reaction channel. AND I bet he got the frisson, the chills, right where I always get them, in the wooah wooah, and the extended "run" before she brings it down. Haley Rienhart dies tour de force versions of this, they are all over the net. Pau may owe some of the arrangement to Haleys work, but the delivery is just Pau. Made this overrated song into a version I go back to, just to get the chills.

The thing is ... with her it's not raw, emotional or otherwise. Everything she is doing is intentional, specific and practiced technique. You can tell because she has her mouth positions formed long before she makes a sound. She is carefully (skillfully) using specific vocal technique to make her voice sound the way it does and different within parts of the song to "sound" emotional.. It's very nuanced and specific vocal work. None of it is emotionally driven ... it's skill. It's not raw talent ... it's years of practice and study in the technical art of singing. That's dedication to the art that is rare these days and why she is great. Dany too. It's the reason she doesn't sing "Breathe" live. She gets too emotional and can't focus on her technique and skills. Emotion is bad for a singer, it causes all kinds of physiological things not good for singing.

IIRC, Pau popped up one day on Instagram (i think) and posted the titles of a couple of songs and asked which one she should do for a challenge... *Creep* was selected... she went off and like four hours later, she gave us this beautiful treasure 😻 there is a channel that listed numerous Creep covers and asked for voting on the best... Pau won, hands down... a week or so later, that channel put the original Creep up against Pau's and she won that poll, as well! that's our Pau! in the same way we thank Metallica for writing Enter Sandman "for" DPA/TW, we also thank Radiohead for writing Creep "for" Pau 😜😹 TWA ⚡🤘😸🤘⚡ TWA
