11mm and 7/16 are the same size for future reference so its an SAE size which makes sense being on an older vehicle.

Your ‘Helen Keller’ comment hits different for me. I grew up working on cars, trucks and motorcycles with my dad. Every time we had a project with messed up wiring he would say, “This thing was wired by Chef Boy Ar Dee.” Because it looked like spaghetti. These days my wiring jobs end up looking like the wiring diagram at the back of a Chilton Manual. I straighten the wiring runs and pre-loom everything because I put it in the heat-shield. If you pull off the plastic loom wrap, all my wires are straight and coded for their purpose. Dad helped me on a pickup I was rebuilding in the mid-nineties and he was watching me run all the wiring. He looked at me at one point, with a grin and said, “I’ve created a monster.” Yup. I HATE messy wiring.

Neat wiring is so satisfying too. Knowing you did it right is a good feelings, behind the dash, under the truck, and everything. Gives you confidence it will last

Non-power steering isn’t even that bad as long as you have the vehicle moving😂

True true but when it’s not moving like a parking lot those 35’s do not turn easily. And it likes to whip back to straight when you brake

Yes true, the 75amp was still supplying but just wanted to upgrade. Would’ve gotten a bigger one if I could find it

Why not use a 1 wire with 185Amps available from a newer Chevy?? All the kids are doing it.

I don’t think a Chevy alternator would fit here. This is a 66 mustang engine
