LOVE those big back feet when they are learning to walk! And the way Coffy's mom moves over a little bit at a time to keep him walking rather than just falling into her arms. He's getting better too. These mothers are terrific!

I hate those videos that show a mom dragging her dead baby around, stopping to hold it and then dragging it to another place, as if she found the right place, it would wake up. They love their babies just as a human does,

Dear Arroz, your videos make me happy! Im afraid I drive my family crazy because they can hear monkeys coming from my room night and day!😃 I love to watch them swim and dive, they are do funny. And the babies??!! So precious, I want to cuddle them all, especially Noras kids as it takes her so long to remember how to mother or Tina whose be milk isn't enough and her kids are under nourished that they have to fend for themselves. Or Gypsy who at times just passed them off to Rudy because she can't be bothered, but she will defend them fiercely! All in all kind of microcosm of our world! Different but similar. Fascinating,! Thank you so much for sharing their world Arroz,!..God Bless!

I love this Troupe, such good mommies, healthy babies... Bossy reminds me of how I am with my son, grabbing on to any limb when he tries to scurry off. She knows it's a dangerous world, most mom's of her species would mourn loosing a baby but not usually change behaviors with future offspring. I think she is a bit more intelligent and emotionally evolved. She's lovely.

I think Bossy feels “responsible” for Jr’s disappearance and she’s seems sad. She seems to have lost that “spark” in her that made her pick up a crying Knotty and hand him over to Gypsy in a motherly & matriarchal way. :(

In my lowly opinion I believe there is 1 word that describes Bossy's problem. - that word is Grief. Animals grieve differently but there are also similarities with us humans. She probably doesn't understand what happened to Bossy Jr or why. She doesn't have the reasoning powers that human minds have. The only thing she knows to do is to overprotect her babies in order to keep them safe in her mind. We human Mothers or Fathers would do the same thing. Only time will help her deep wound to begin to heal, but there will always be a scar.

I'm still amazed at Gypsy. This sweet little girl, that looks just like Gypsy, seems to have captured Gypsys heart. I notice she not plucking away, and nursing Kneely on demand. What a wonderful group of mothers, their yearlings look happy, healthy and well nourished. Beautiful closeups of the newborns! Thank you Mr. M. for all your hard work bringing the joy of these lovely monkeys to us! Blessings and luck to you. ;)

Bonnie Moore No. Bossy Jr was too old. She wasn’t a newborn and she was the matriarch’s daughter. Even the childless Aunts don’t go after the matriarch’s babies. There are no wild animals that prey on the monkeys there. She may have missed a limb when climbing from 1 tree to another or she may have been clipped by a car. But it’s more likely a fall. :(

I wonder if someone kid napped bossy Jr.? It happens a lot. I've seen video of vehicles stop and snatch up babies to sell them on the market. It's sad to imagine if that was yours or my child. I'd be the same way as bossy probably. All though I have no children I would still fight to protect someone else's child simply because no creature or being should suffer the loss of a child, ever. I've went as far as to protect a den of baby foxes from people cause they either wanted a baby fox as a pet or to kill them but those people found out fast that was not going to happen. Those little foxes grew up with their mother and left the den to move on else where and I choose to never hunt for sport ever again. Only to hunt when my life depended on it and I have had no need to kill for food yet so I choose to fairly protect those animals that there is no need to hunt or kill. I won't interfere with hunting season. I only act when it is unnecessary for a person to kill and those little foxes wasn't hurting anything or anyone and neither did their mother. I know foxes are known to kill chickens, cats and etc. But there are no chicken coops around and not cats or pets ever went missing. The den was also to close to people and the mother wouldn't risk bringing trouble to her door step. I spent a lot of time watching that den and the foxes. After a while they got use to me coming around. Maybe they realised I was keeping the trouble away from them. Crazy part is I noticed the pups chewing on a deer leg one day and playing with it. Turns out someone had brought the leftovers of a deer they killed in season and gave what they didn't need to the foxes. Maybe others felt the same as me. Never found out who.

its really sad that they have now come to rely on being hand out fed, while they have dozens of food sources in the forest to eat,as they were intended to do.they aren't ever starving for lack of food but become rather hungry by waiting for handouts.they will go and find food where it's supposed to be found before the end of the day.its just sad that the babies and younger ones don't get taught like they once did on how and where these food sources are what are best, all the traditional ways they once survived and passed down to generations and generations. it will come a time when none of them will be around to keep such a thing going as they will only know how to beg and fight others for handouts instead of nature, horrible

Sherry Smith Sherry, there are cheaper and safer ways to get a Monkey than trying to steal one from this area... much less the matriarch’s daughter. These are not the LT’s innCambodia that let their babies crawl all over humans. Arroz has to keep a safe distance and use a zoom lens.

This baby is proof for all the obsessed and insane viewers of the Ankgor Wat troupes like Amari's troupe that it I'd possible and even normal for a very youg macaque to not be velcroed to their mom and not freaking out like it's being killed. You'll notice that the mother's tend to call the shots in these troupes as well which must be a shocking difference to witness.
