You did the best anybody could have done!!! Thank God you prevented the worst. Yes, nature is so cruel sometimes. It's a good thing the world has you, Alen, as well. Nobody could love their birds more, or take better care of them. 🙏🙏🙏❤️🐦

Sometimes they know a baby is sick and do this. Nature reminds us they're not humans. I had 5 baby zebra finches tossed from the nest lately and tried to save each one but they had trouble eating and weren't gaining weight. They survive the fall from the nest. But I have saved some before and parakeets too. We always can learn.

I watch your videos regularly, after all we can learn from each other. However, I never thought much of communal breeding. So much can go wrong that you don't want to harm your loved ones. You have had so many good successes breeding with individual pairs in separate cages. Well, I also make mistakes that I regret afterwards. You learn from mistakes and you showed strength of character to post the videos of the failed community breeding to prevent others from making the same mistakes. A very big thank you for that!

You should never breed them together always each pair separate as females will fight over nesting boxes ( also you can choose pair to breed with each other )

FUN FACT: Not bird but Butterfly. Monarch Butterfly. The big Monarch caterpillar will eat smaller baby Monarch caterpillars. Yup...they can be cannibalistic. I found that out the hard way. Nature. 😑

Hi, I have two male budgies and one female. one male and the femlae budgie have mated and gave an egg just today. What should i do if the baby is born? should I feed the baby, or do the parents feed the baby themselves? What do they feed the baby? What kind of food should i provide for the parents to feed their babe? Also, should I separate the other male from the pair and eggs?

It would be good if you could include audio in Spanish since I am Latino and I don't speak English very well. Also, I love your videos. If they were in Spanish, I would still like them, but I want it to be in Spanish, please.

Scavenging on the ground Suggestion: Find a large tray or cookie sheet. Place hay loosely on the tray then sprinkle seeds &/or sprouts "in the hay" and set the tray on the ground. The birds will need to scavenge and pick around through the hay to get to the seeds. I like this method because the tray can be cleaned and kept relatively POOP FREE. An ordinary dish without the hay camouflaging makes it uninteresting for the birds. Give them the fun challenge.

Hello, alen AxP! My budgie’s beak is green is that okay?
@ChristmasDarkening

it can be caused by a lot of reasons, my budgies beak usually goes green from eating green vegetables since they have a natural pigment inside them :))

I was in the Same Situation, the mother know that the Baby bird ist healthy or Not, then they do the Job of mother Nature. IT Is the Same If they have Not enough food in the Nature.

I think Alex before did try to avoid his birds from breeding that he dud not provide any nests. However, birds like Angel with her instinct want to breed so much that she laid eggs wherever in the nest. Alex discovered that and rescue the fertized egg. The most effective way to avoid them from breeding is to separate the males ftom the females. Is it cruel to do so?

As a budgie channel, I really expected better. Why are you colony breeding your birds? There's already enough birds in the world, adopt instead of bringing more into this life. If you're doing it to sell them, you run a successful youtube channel, I'm sure you're not hurting for money. I'll be unsubscribing because this is not what I originally subscribed for.

Why are people encouraging breeding? It’s such a shame to know there’s so many animals in need of homes. Please stop encouraging this just for making your KZitem. These birds deserve better than this, I KNOW you can do better. I’m so deeply appalled that you have people following you in the comments on how their baby budgies have died as well. Please stop encouraging hormonal nesting behavior. Explain to me why it is so important for you to keep the public so irresponsibly informed?! I will not continue to follow this channel. The most responsible decision a pet owner can make is to not breed their pets. People come here seeking educational entertainment and this is bad education here. As I said before it bothers me to say anything but it bothers me much more to say nothing at all. I wish better for you and yours.

You should watch my breeding series from the beginning to get the whole picture of how this started. I understand how it may look from this perspective-both encouraging and concerning. When people want to breed budgies, they'll do it with or without my videos. I'm just trying to show the real picture of what happens and what will happen when breeding budgies, including both the good and the bad situations (spoiler alert). I wish I could stop hormonal breeding in budgies, but unfortunately, I can't-that's just their natural behavior, and I'm simply going along with it sharing experiences.

No thanks I’m not interested in your breeder content. I agree, ethical or not, people are going to encourage their pets to breed. However, your opinion of “there’s no way to prevent hormonal behavior” i disagree for the facts with proper nutrition, enrichment and sleep you in fact can discourage hormonal issues. I’m worried about the information you are failing to research and in process of unsubscribing I see you have quite a lot of subscribers and one I must congratulate you for your editing work and you do make nice videos but what you fail to understand why parrots are #1 pet in rehoming. I encourage you to spend time looking into your local rescues and learn about things like back yard breeding, milling and hoarding. You would not qualify for adopting from a rescue as most rescues require contracts which include specific guidelines of “rescue pets are never intended to partake in breeding programs”. I’m sure your a decent person and I see you as capable of doing better. You have an opportunity to make a real difference here. I will check back in time in hopes you have better education and provide the public with better. The only reason I’m trying to reason with you is I would like to believe you are a reasonable man, I could just be wishful thinking though. There’s nothing natural about this setting, chicken coup, nesting boxes, and you messing with the whole process with your equipment. And yes, I’m quite sensitive on these subjects as some people are so insensitive to these topics. Grieving is an actual physical process as I’m sure many other pet lovers can relate.
