This DC is bae!!! This has done AMAZING things to my hair since adding it to my regimen a couple of months ago. This is the sequence I use it in 1. Overnight hot oil 2. Mud wash or DIY black soap shampoo 3. I let my hair get about 90% dry then I apply the DC, then I sit under the steamer for the duration of the steam cycle. My DC absorbs better on clean almost dry hair. When I rinse this out my hair feels like BUTTAH!!! I would recommend sifting the powders because the little pieces get stuck in your hair, however they're gone by next wash day. One week out of the month all @greenbeauty real protein to it. This DC is da truth!! Thanks for this!!

LuClu81 how do you make your diy black soap shampoo?
@LuClu81
7 жыл бұрын
Jamie Lowe I cut the black soap in chunks, depending on how I want the consistency, I add just enough boiling water to melt the soap, stirring occasionally to speed up the process. I add whatever oils my hair likes, typically olive and avocado, essential oils and vegetable glycerine. I add tea tree, peppermint and rosemary because I like to stimulate my scalp. I don't have exact measurements, but if I had to guesstimate 2 cups of chopped up black soap, 1 cup of boiling water, 3 tablespoons each of the oils and glycerin and 10-15 drops of each essential oil. Leaves my hair and scalp clean without feeling stripped because of the oils and glycerin

I finally have the ingredients to try this lol. When I heard the old music, in my head I was singing La la la lalalalalala. Lol Update: Tried this deep conditioner today and it made my hair really soft and defined surprisingly. Only thing you have to look out for is when you rinse it out the tighter your curl pattern the harder it will be. It took me 2 rinses and another shampoo to get most of it out .. note I said most lol. I think it was worth the hassle thou because my hair really soft and moisturized. P.S. Got it all out! Make sure you rinse with warm water.

I know I'm not the only one experiencing this. I will legit be in my shower for over an hour trying to get this crap out of my hair, to then have to style my hair anyways with some still leftover. Lol and once my hair is dry and I redo my style it's sand falling everywhere from my hair all over the bathroom sink and floor 😤...Please help!!!

LaTreviete Hawley yikesssssss, I literally never have any fallout or residue left. Are you putting enough deep conditioner/oils in? Try putting even more, maybe that'll help in getting them to blend. Try using a blender even to break up those bits further. lol I honestly don't know, but i've started incorporating Ayurvedic techniques into my regimen 3 months ago and it has been perfect to me. And I use allll the powdery stuff haha. But it really shouldn't be doing that. It should be nice and creamy and leave your hair soft and shiny. If anything, my tub is the one that looks filthy and has all the powder on the ground when I'm done.

Luckily I have these ingredients as I am doing Ayurvedic treatments. I was wondering why you used this on your hair before it was washed. Is there a difference in results in that way? I usually wash, condition, then deep condition for 20-30 minutes.

babyv2992010 this is a good question!!! I’d like to know if there is any difference in results too because I agree with washing/shampooing/cleansing hair and scalp first and THEN applying all that lush goody goodness so it’s all absorbed right?? Buttt then agin if Laila has been doing it this way for years and her hairs health length and vitality is still this Bombbbb then i think it’s safe to assume both ways work 😭 Love this channel. I used to go that as well because my hair absorbs my DC better when dry. However, I felt DC 1st then washing was counterproductive. So what I do is hot oil, shampoo then I let my hair air dry about 90% then I DC under the steamer. This recipe has done wonders for my hair
@LookBackAtItBarbie
6 жыл бұрын
I think she uses it first because she's steaming her hair while it is in. She probably uses this deep conditioner first and steams her hair because when you steam your hair it open up the little layers on the hair shaft to allow for better penetration of the product, but opening these layers to often or too much can weaken the hair and cause it to break more easily. If she were to wash her hair and then steam, over time it might weaken her hair from the constant reopening of those layers and making the mask ineffective
@relatv216

Lol Laila I also apply my deep conditioner like applying the creamy crack.....To me what's the point in applying a dollop and calling that deep conditioning? That ain't deep conditioning Apply it like the name suggests Deeply....i make sure every strand is coated..... we apply the relaxer like that, I used to b obsessed with making sure every strand was coated as I did not want a single curl to pop up I wanted it layed and half the time I never got the desired look. Why do we take so much care to make sure every strand is covered shouldn't we be doing the same with DC..... the only difference is where putting goodness and not chemicals in are hair so that being said DC like you have never DC b4 ladies.
