As the literary world celebrates the centenary of Ulysses, the acclaimed James Joyce novel, Duke professor Helen Solterer describes the experience of connecting with her family roots to bring to life new information about Joyce. Solterer, a professor of French and Francophone Studies at Duke, worked with several co-authors from University College Dublin to re-issue "James Joyce Remembered", which was originally written by her grandfather, C.P. Curran in 1968. Curran and Joyce were college buddies and literary peers in early 20th century Dublin.
