How about South Africa does something about the stupid high markup thrown at consumers. I know its not always the retailers but the suppliers who are mostly to blame. How can I buy something from Amazon US, whom is a retailer and pay import duty for a lot less that buying it here. Someone is ripping the local consumers off. So don't blame Temu or Shein. They charging reasonable price. I bought a chair cushion from Temu for R200 before import duties. The exact same item and images at Makro was over a grand. You tell me whose damaging the economy.
