I would like to see you guys grow a fall crop of Irish potaotes. Have you thought about pressure canning the potatoes you have stored? Peel and chop and soak overnight to reduce the starch. You can raw pack and fill with boiling water or chicken stock. Then you can make gravy with the broth. When your chickens start laying, it makes a great hash or potato egg casserole. I add my frozen chives and bell peppers. Happy gardening! 🥔🥚🍳

That corn sheller makes quick work of that popcorn. Might be getting just a bit too late for planting potatoes for harvest this year. My 22 y.o. son was here to take me to post-op. We watched this video and then I showed him the deployment of the chicken tractor video. You might end up with another subscriber. He didn't know what a chicken tractor was and confirmed it on wikipedia.

Fall potatoes do sound like a good idea. Are you planning to do a poundage comparison on the sweet potatoes like you did on the Irish potatoes? I'd also like to hear about the okree. I'm sad to hear the Old Alabama isn't a winner, I planned to try it next summer. The sheller is way cool. Get a grain grinder and fresh corn bread is just a field corn crop away.

I'm probably not going to do a poundage comparison on the sweet potatoes, but we'll compare by "buckets." With the crazy weather we've had this year, I don't think our harvest warrants getting the scales. lol

Use the red Alabama okra for fall flower arrangements then it won’t be a total loss.
