These are so beautiful but I am very confused as to how they are 'pressed flakies'? Waterfall is especially beautiful and I hope someone finds a dupe because these would crease on me in 5 minutes. Eyeshadow primer says 'Dragon' in Cyrillic, so I would guess PRC manufacturer for RF audience. So much eyeshadow is produced in that region and many raw materials are mined. People should not be so afraid of eyeshadow from these regions as that is where majority of multichrome pigments are manufactured and original pigments for black-based cosmetic multichromes were patented.

Right, I also don't find them that flakey. But, giving it a second thought, we have to keep in mind that not everyone is used to the kind of formulas we are used to from indie brands. I'm sure if the formula of Pastel Roses, Glam Shop or other indie multichromes were in mainstream brands' palettes, people would say it's hard to use etc. solely because they should be used with glitter glue and may be hard to pick up with a regular brush. That is interesting - you always have such great information to share! Thank you! And yes, at this point, I'm more skeptical to US indie brands, seeing hoe they treat their customers 😅😅

@MartesMakeup yeah, it definitely makes them easier to apply and I would prefer these to most flakies. However, pigment flakes are defined by their particle size (usually 200-2000 microns) but I do not know if this applies to naming conventions for final cosmetic products. It is certainly not a legal terminology as far as I am aware - it is just surprising to see flakies pressed into smaller particle sizes and still marketed as 'flakies'. It reminds me of a man who ordered 'world's biggest pizza slice' and it arrived as a big pizza shaped like a slice that was also sliced into smaller slices lol. Multichrome pigments have been commercially available for almost 25 years now, but they were in development long before because they have many different applications. They are manufactured many places now (including in US) and with so many proprietary methods/names that it is difficult to keep track. It does scare me to see so many sellers on sites like Alibaba selling pigments for non-cosmetic use as cosmetic pigments. I do not believe any indie brands are doing this - just warning anyone who is reading this to be wary of random sellers.

I purchased that Liana palette last year when it first launched and got a free tiny sized keyring with the same shades - super cute:) That green matte is such a unique tone, I really love their formula and look forward to trying more of their products - thanks for showing those singles, I can see a gap in my collection! :D

I do wonder since these shadows are prone to creasing, much like the Oden's eye Jewel Shine, maybe they have similar formulas? It might not be as bad as Oden's eye, but I know that one of the greens is the same as in the Girlcult palette 42. The common denominator is that these are all made in China. Perhaps this is the sign that multichromes are becoming more mainstream since they're included in palettes, and some are cheaper than indie singles (sadly not these).
@MartesMakeup

Maybe! But these shadows are, from what I read on the brand's Instagram, developed and handmade by themselves. I think it's just the fact that more flakey shadows need more binder to adhere and stick to the pan like an actual pressed shadow, and therefore, those shadows are more prone to creasing. But that's just my theory! That said, the Odens eye ones don't seem flakey at all, so unless the dry pigment itself is flakes and their formula and mixing makes it so smooth, that wouldn't really make sense for their shadows.. those are very smooth and do NOT need that much binder 😅

@@MartesMakeup when brands say "pressed by hand" I take it with a grain of salt, especially with brands that offer private labelling options. but that's just me. I don't know what Oden's eye deal is, they could very well be just diluting the pigment so they add a lot filler in their eyeshadows. you definitely don't need that much oil and silicones in them.

@Chromatic Romance yeah I don't know, I think the brand seems very genuine, but again, I haven't tried it before 😅 these definitely feel higher quality that Odens eye though. Diluted sounds right with their eyeshadows 😂 they looked so much more intense after I pressed out the binder 🙌🏻

Dry river-bed and Dragonfly look like their versions of Mural from Clionadh. I guess it's the new Lucid lavender 😅

@@MartesMakeup Well, Ganymede from Terra Moons is also similar to Mural so I guess Mural isn't the first of the kind like Lucid lavender was but I just assumed Mural to be the most famous one. 😅

@@MartesMakeup LOL, once I bought about 250$ worth from Terra Moons without thinking and had to pay about that much on top of it for taxes and duties. 😂😂😂 Now I only purchase from them when I visit my sister, who's in the US. But isn't it same with Pastel roses UK? I had pay the taxes to get it here in Germany but how is it in Norway?

@Yumi Lee yes, I pay taxes for everything outside of Norway! But at least I have a 25% discount code for Pastel roses! 🙏 And shipping isn't as expensive. With Terra Moons I tend to spend enough to get free shipping 😂
