Congratulations, great sets, you are exceptionally able to create mood and atmosphere. Keep going!. Could you once create an atmosphere with the theme: "small camp at the end of the world with a few survivors, where the fire burning between the buildings of the makeshift camp is the last light, but you have to go scavenge in the dark". kind of a prepper dream/nightmare? I think it would be brilliant with your methodology. Greetings from Eastern Europe: G.

Deep in the hills, an abandoned bunker whispered eerie secrets. Shadows danced on rusted walls, echoing ghostly footsteps. Locals claimed it was cursed, the air thick with the forgotten anguish of wartime whispers. Brave souls who ventured in vanished, Only echoes of their terrified screams returned from the abyss.

As we glanced around the dark, dilapidated rooms, we saw small aquatic lifeforms swimming around in puddles that had probably been there for months or maybe even years. It didn't look like the place was being lived in, but it didn't look abandoned either. My blast goggles were fogging up. I started to remove them to have a better look around when I heard the noise.

The atmosphere of the expulsion chamber was a stark contrast from the rest of the facility. The dull, institutional brown made it look old and dirty, like the grimy underside of a bench. Or, perhaps more like an inner city dumpster-a place where one could quickly and easily discard their unwanted, rejected waste and forget about it.

It was the first time Jonathan had ever seen the chamber, since no one had ever been banished from Saturn-6 in its nearly seven years of operation. Not only would today’s exile ceremony mark the first time that someone in the facility was “chuted”, but it would be a double ceremony, with a pair of residents facing the expulsion chute.

Next Sunday will mark the first year since I was deployed here. It was almost a coincidence our aerial forces found this building on their way to the north. No one in this country seems to know of its existence. It doesn't appear on any map, either. It's not that strange, though: after the radioactive bomb that started that damned war over 50 years ago, it's only logical that they needed a place to hide from the multiple forms of death stalking around AND keep it a secret from the enemy. The outer walls are the thickest I've ever seen, which also makes sense given the high radiation everywhere at the time. The interesting part is that the everyday life in this shelter wasn't just like a bunker where you eat, sleep and watch paint dry. We found four upper floors full of all kinds of technological equipment that was very advanced at the time. Our scientists have been analyzing everything for months and concluded that this shelter also doubled as a research facility. They kept track of the radiation indexes outside and its effects on plants and animals. The probably stayed indoors until the radiation dropped low enough to go outside. We're roughly 200 people living here right now, and everyone seems enthusiastic because every day we discover something new both inside and outside this shelter. But I think I'm the only one who feels uneasy about this place. Despite the extensive documentation we've found about the previous investigations, no one has found any kind of clue about when the original people left, where they went, or especially, why they left. It's like everyone was doing fine in here, and then they just suddenly vaporized. I've talked about this with my closest co-workers and none of them seems to care; the most meditated answer so far has been "you're overthinking it too much". But what can I say... We know this shelter has a basement which apparently extends several levels underground; its entrance is a small door hidden behind a notable number of stairs and corridors, not exactly accessible; the five elevators in this building connect the main floor and the upper floors with each other, but not a single one of them takes you to the basement. One could think that the basement served as a bunker to hide in case of enemy invasion and that's why it's so hidden, but its location is so impractical that it doesn't really work as an escape route. And for some reason, our higher-ups never considered a priority to explore what lies under our feet. The only time we investigated the basement was last month, when a group of four soldiers, including one of my closest friends, ventured into it. Nothing abnormal, they said. "A bunch of rooms full of varied stuff, people back then used them for storage. There's also a small door with a little glass window from which we can see a dark corridor with stairs going downwards. That's all." Look, I know I don't sound exactly sane about this, but I'm getting increasingly scared about that basement. My friend doesn't quite look the same since he came back, he's constantly smiling, and I recently noticed some facial tics he never had before. The other soldiers in his team also act strange, they're excessively happy, almost euphoric all the time. I mean, life isn't bad in this shelter, but there's no reason to celebrate like that. No one else seems to notice how they've changed; most even seem to just go along with them. And just now... I've been assigned the task to explore the basement's second level tomorrow, together with three other soldiers. I get into a cold sweat from just thinking about it. I should have fallen asleep six hours ago, but it's obvious I'm not getting any rest tonight. I'm going to get every weapon I can carry with me and pray to whatever Gods are out there that everything is actually okay and that the only real problem is me going crazy; at least that way I'll be the only casualty.

I carried the baby in my arms, hugging her so tight, I was gripping her from fear. Her cries were drawing them closer; despite my fear, I had to shush her as much as I could. That's when I saw it, The Shelter; it had a rusty exterior, looked like it's been around since the first days of The Collapse, only to have been abandoned within the past several decades. I had no idea why no one was utilizing the interior, but I took my misjudged chances. Not realizing the impending doom that waited for me on the other side. The baby began to shush as we approached the tall, overlooking doors, that were at least eight feet tall. I, only five feet and three inches, the true horror as a dated young woman. The baby, perhaps knowing what laid beyond the steel doors, fell victim to it's aura, as it drew us in, like moths to a flame. We were soon being drawn, to our impending graves.
